I checked in on Monday afternoon and went to my room. After unpacking I laid on the bed with a cup of coffee as I had been driving for five hours to get there. You need a pass code, not a card to enter the room so obviously the receptionist gave this bloke my room code. I went straight to reception, but it was empty. There were half a dozen people waiting to check in. They were told the receptionist went to pick up a mate from work and would be back in 5 minutes. They said they had been waiting there 40 minutes. I went back down to the reception half an hour later and he said sorry and that was it. He had given someone else my room entry number and sorry was all i got. I never slept for two nights , every noise i heard sounded like my door being opened. I had a 5 hour drive back home with no sleep. The aircon barely worked and took two full days to start feeling cool and I couldn't get hot water through it. It took a couple of minutes to get it to shut off. The mixer was obviously had it. I was down on the coast to visit and help care for a n old mate of mine who doesn't have long to live. I left early morning and returned later at night so no one on reception to inform about my problems. I expect I will have several more trips down to the coast but will not stay here again. I hope this gets passed on to the Hope Harbour management.
