Stayed at the Inn with two friends that I have known since 1976. We had an absolute awesome stay! Stephen cooked our breakfast every morning usually a vegetable omelette, really good crispy, bacon, homemade toasted bread with butter made by the local Mennonites, delicious jam, bananas and pineapple. On days when we had to get up early and be down to the dock to take snorkeling trip arranged by Sea&Cerros, we ate on the lighter side and had delicious homemade granola and yogurt. Always a pot of coffee going in the morning and hot tea. Stephen was so hospitable and his team of assistants got us whatever we needed. Rooms have all the basic needs, nice walk in shower etc although could use a chair in each room. Sometimes I would see a gecko in my room, which I thought was really cool! Some beautiful birds, frogs, moths, geckos right there at the Inn. So relaxing, planned the trip around the full moon! One night we hung out on the roof deck bar area. We marveled at the moon, shooting stars, constellations, and pretty large moths! Saturday was pizza night made by native Belizean woman Myra, it was just delicious! Definitely worth checking out! Absolutely loved our stay here! The beach is stunning, and having a charming little bar, store, and restaurant just a one-minute walk away made everything so convenient. Throughout our stay, we went on multiple tours, and each one was an unforgettable adventure! I visited with my mom, and it was the perfect balance—we enjoyed the relaxing experiences she wanted while I still got to explore, hike, visit ruins, and dive into adventure. The staff was truly amazing, going above and beyond to make our stay special. A huge shoutout to Edgar and Issa for their exceptional hospitality! If you’re looking for a place that offers both relaxation and adventure in a breathtaking setting, this is it!

I loved the place of this man named Stephen, he really treated us very kind and patient, recommended to escape from the usual and the routine since the place is very quiet and the rooms are very comfortable to rest, I recommend you stop to chat with him, he is very interesting.

Great breakfasts. Rooms spacious but need more furniture (chairs for both rooms and verandas). Gated, so safe. Rooftop bar is nice venue (but we didn’t use). Non smokers beware that the only eatery nearby is like time traveling to 1960s America where everyone smokes indoors. Also populated by loud, profane drunken expats. Not what I seek on vacation!

My daughter and I went and were delighted to see how accepted our dog was. Stephen was very accessible and attentive to needs and questions. Unfortunately the room we wanted was not available so we took a twin instead and it was simple, clean and pleasant. The only issue with the room is it was right beside the water pump that went off every time anyone used water. Also, if fresh OJ and scones are something that you are looking for like myself in a breakfast they were not available but there was fresh cooking by Stephen every morning for anything else you desire with coffee and amazing brewed tea. The pool, restaurant/bar are just down the road along with full beach access. It is not in town and the food at the restaurant was just ok but Stephen's pizza night was amazing and brought in a lot of locals for great conversations. The one thing I would highly recommend is bug spray, we live in Placencia and have never been covered in bites like this before. Overall I would recommend if you are looking for simplicity, clean, safe and social.

I had such a wonderful stay at the Crimson Orchid Inn and cannot thank Stephen, Kim and Willfred enough for three days full of sunshine, nature, serenity, community spirit and adventure. The inn is a beautiful home away from home. Don't miss the sunset and stargazing on the roof top while enjoying a Margarita (by bartender Issa!). I also highly recommend taking a tour to the Lamanai - one of the oldest, continuously inhabited archaeological zones in the Maya World. The boat ride there was so much fun and the site itself was very impressive. Another tip: join Wilfred for a morning walk. He is a well-experienced nature guide, who knows all the secrets that make the fauna & flora around us all so holy and spectacular. I learned so much so early in the day. :-)

What an incredible experience! The Crimson Orchid Inn is located in the perfect place. Between the gorgeous guided tours, compassionate hosts, and deliciously fresh meals, I couldn't have asked for a better time. The rooftop Treenet and Bar is also a must-see!
