Visited at 12 noon. Place was cold. Latte coffee was like hot water out of a machine. The bar staff changed it for a pot of tea but that wasn’t much better. Ordered a Halloumi hot sandwich which was strips of halloumi on a small plain bread bun. Chips were nice but certainly not worth the money. Not a pleasant experience.

Stayed at Wheatsheaf in twin room, it was absolutely freezing. Unable to shower as the bathroom was like a fridge. There was no soap in the bathroom. We were the only guests staying that night & it seemed like we weren't catered for at all . We had lunch on the afternoon of our arrival, good food, but again the dining room was freezing. There are much cosier places in Corbridge.

This place is very disappointing. Certainly not a three star hotel more like two at best. Over priced with tatty small rooms that are freezing. The restaurant and bar are soulless, no style or ambiance. Breakfast was awful with cheap ingredients served Luke warm on a cold plate. Over priced at £130 a night. Avoid.

A very bad experience which is still ongoing. I received a parking fine after my stay and have been trying to get it paid back. The stone gate group who run the establishment have washed their hands of it and have asked me “the customer” to seek legal advice!. At no point have I been approached either by the hotel or Stonegate to reimburse the cost of the fine. I’ve tried several times to contact the hotel and each time it’s “yes we’re looking into it” or “it was the previous manager and we’re trying to contact him” Be careful before you book regarding the parking situation as you could be out of pocket !

We booked here for a night as our friends were getting married close by. We stayed on 9th Oct. Room was lovely and clean. Plenty pillows, a throw and large, clean towels. Couldn't fault it. Breakfast was great and nothing was a bother. I would definitely stay again if in the area

Well, with all of the previous bad reviews we were reluctant to book this Hotel, but after an e-mail chat with the booking Manager and the fact that they had just taken the Hotel over 5 weeks prior, we took a chance, we were not disappointed, no double booked rooms, very attentive friendly staff, full English breakfast, the bar and the restaurant open every day, we even had a meal in the restaurant which was very nice and reasonably priced. Please ignore all of the previous negative posts and give this place a try.

Lovely place to stop over on a cycling trip along Hadrian's Wall. Secure storage for bikes is available. Lovely breakfast, friendly staff, nice rooms. Our host Dylan was so helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Lovely picturesque location.

Fantastic nights stay at a beautiful hotel/ pub. We stopped here for the night as we were flying from Newcastle the next day & we love Corbridge as a historical town. We booked a room with breakfast with previous owners & didn’t know hotel was taken over by new owners only 5 weeks ago. New owners contacted us to confirm booking & they were brilliant hosts. We arrived Saturday afternoon & parked car in public car park opposite hotel, thought we would have to pay to park car,( do not pay at machine) but got parking free when we checked into hotel. Met at reception by a charming & polite young man who checked us in. We were staying 1 night b&b in room 6, king size bed & beautiful big modern bath. Room was lovely & spotlessly clean. Didn’t eat dinner at hotel restaurant, as we were booked in the Valley Indian restaurant that night. Had a great nights sleep & went down for breakfast & what can I say: one of the best breakfast we have had. Choice was fantastic from continental to cooked options. You were not go hungry here. New owners are doing a great job & we are definitely going back this year. We highly recommend this place. Thanks again for a brilliant stay & made the start of our holiday memorable.
