I've stayed annually at this b&b for over twenty years, initially with my father who was born in the town, up until his illness and subsequent passing four years ago. Dinny Hannafin has been the most welcoming and friendly proprietor that we could wish for and he ensured our stays were like home from home. The continental breakfast has a wonderful selection of cereals, juices, fruits, yoghurts, fresh home made breads, ham, cheese, tea and coffee. There's no limits and he ensures that you head off on your journey happy and well fed. The bedrooms are always very clean and well presented. Over the years the proprietor has hosted many hill walkers, cyclists, tourists and people involved in the local fish industry from all corners of the world. The b&b is a very short walk to the town where there are restaurants with good local produce and bars. Being loyal to my father, a visit to Felix & Rosemary at O'Donoghues Bar in the square is a must for a beautiful lunch or a quiet evening drink.
