BRU Bar & Hostel

We decided to stay here as it was such good value and I’m glad we did. We had a private room (bunk beds) on the 3rd floor which was really clean and had an en-suite shower and toilet. We received a very friendly welcome and everyone’s very helpful. The bar had great music each night but didn’t disturb us when we went to bed. The breakfast was basic but plenty to set you up for the day. I think it is better than described and I would definitely stay again.

On first notice place seemed nice cozy and cute. That soon changed when we arrived in our rooms, they appeared to be clean and well kept but as soon as I pulled back the quilt I seen hairs of people all different sizes and colors it was absolutely disgusting. Secondly I was sitting on my bed and ants are crawling up my skin from the floor. There is also no washer and dryer to do you laundry in. The showers and bathrooms are very dated as well. I will never be back this place is truly a dump.

We booked a private double room with a bathroom. You get what you pay for. The room was mostly clean though there were some ants by the trash in the room. The bathroom was clean and very basic. The beds were a little hard for my taste. This hostel does sit over a bar so keep that in mind. The music and singing lasted well into the night. I was unbothered as I was so exhausted I slept right thru. Breakfast is included, with some toast and cereal. Overall you get what you pay for. If you want something more grand then pay for a real hotel.

I am staying here for 5 nights the staff are awesome the rooms are clean the TV room and Kitchen are always spotless handy having the bar down stairs to watch football and live music. Malcolm room 303

Comfy bed. Very clean. Staff so helpful and friendly. Ideally located. Best hostel I ever stayed at. Use of kitchen very handy. Socket and light beside each bed. Onsite bar is convenient. Great music each night.
