"The service staff was friendly and the accommodation was very good. The hotel also provides bathrobes and disposable slippers. Not too far from the Cork Center. Compared to the four-star hotel of the same price I stayed near Dublin Airport, all aspects are much better. Unfortunately, time is tight and there is no free pool and sauna to enjoy."
"The Montenotee hotel is an experience of its own , fantastic views over the city , amazing interior design, delicious food and professional staff .. The glasshouse is superb with quality cocktails and surroundings. Highly recommend. "

"I got a room with a window facing the in-door atrium, which meant not having a window with daylight. For the price I paid, I would expect to have a room with a window with daylight.
Spa was not clean and I didn't enjoy it at all. Breakfast was not good either. I won't stay with Clayton again."
"The hotel is close to Cork city centre, with convenient transportation and a good local hotel. The interior is fully equipped and the service is very welcoming. It can also be accommodated 1-2 hours in advance. There are restaurants in the bar, but there are fewer varieties of breakfast."
"The receptionist a mature lady ensured from the minute we arrived that all would go well even if we were English. She helped my wife with the local Pharmacy (thank you). The hotel has ample parking. Parts of the hotel actually have an interesting Irish Rail history as well. The hotel is right next to a decent high street 5minute walk away. They also served Murphy's in the bar! The room was good but it was the history inside the hotel and the conversion of the Railway bridge into a drinking area very novel. Breakfast was very good and competative no complaints from me Irish Breakfast same as an English to me! Would we stay there again yes we are planning to again next year. Iy is only a 45min drive drom Cork airport."

Great
Xxxing2140Airport pick-up and drop-off are convenient, and the reception service at the front desk is attentive. The room is neat, clean and elegantly decorated. Good breakfast
GGuest UserGreat location to visit the wildlife park but it’s not walkable. Room was lovely. It had everything we needed. Peaceful nights sleep too. You have to pre book the leisure club and children are only allowed at certain times meaning we missed out in the morning as my 13yr old wasn’t allowed in until 9am but we had to leave then.
Breakfast: Choice of food was amazing. Absolutely everything on offer. We were a bit rushed because we had the titanic experience booked so had to be punctual. We had to chase up the toast 3 times. It was the only thing my son would eat so couldn’t let it slide. Then it arrived stone cold so they apologised and redid it for him.
Overall it was a lovely hotel and included some nice touches like Lily O”Brien chocolates in the room, a coffee maker and free bottle of wine for Deluxe rooms. Turn down service was a welcome surprise too.
GGuest UserArrived very early so left my bag behind reception,
My friend and I then went out touring for the day, we later went for food and drinks and we managed to lose each other, she came back to the hotel with my phone,
I later arrived with no phone and gave my details was told there was no booking for me, I waited in reception for nearly an hour whilst they tried to find my booking, eventually they found it on the check out list, this was after 1am so I was very tired and ready for bed.
At breakfast the next morning we were told they hadn’t had a delivery so there were no sausages or pastries for breakfast, this was a little disappointing , Apart from this the hotel was central & clean, the staff were friendly.
VVickyWe loved the convenience of the hotel - walking distance of everything in Cork City Centre. The staff were very helpful. The only big downside was that our room backed onto a homeless hostel
and sadly this was very noisy with shouting and swearing through the night 😢😢😢😢 which kept us awake pretty much all night last night. The rooms were too hot for the three of us to have the window closed. The rooms overlooking the river were probably amazing
GGuest UserAs we were staying for one night only we weren't TOO fussy. We got a family room which was also kitted out for wheelchair user. Our view was of a tall, solid concrete wall. Friends stayed in a bright, sunny room looking out over the harbour.. Choose your room carefully if you are staying for a while and like a pleasant view. Breakfast was just okay. I had poached eggs on avocado, peanut rayu and sourdough. Felt it had too many flavours. Would like to have seen some simple breakfast options on the menu. Several dishes served with hollandaise sauce. I also noticed a few flies hovering around the food area. Would not rush to stay there again even though location was fabulous looking out over the harbour.
GGuest UserI am in love with their bed!! It’s the best I’ve ever slept on. So in love, I had to investigate to find out who makes their bed: it’s by the natural sleep company. I slept deliciously and I will now get a bed like that for my home.
The employees were quite kind and helpful too.
Clearly, from the bed alone, they invest in quality. It’s a gorgeous building and exquisitely maintained with a magnificent old world charm. I hope this gem lasts for ages and doesn’t succumb to the boring, overly modern, cookie cutter trope a lot of hotels have fallen into.
I will return for sure.
GGuest UserAbsolutely brilliant hotel. Staff were nothing next to amazing, especially John (guest relations). Every hotel should have a John. Brilliant. Bar staff again brilliant. Food was amazing. And nothing was ever a problem. Hated checking out.

GGuest UserDisappointing. Couldn’t find my booking at all. After getting a room and resting somebody entered to show the room to somebody else.
Unfortunately there was a group of ladies booked at the same time and they made a lot of noise and nobody stopping them so I got up at 3.30. Shouted at them and they went to bed. Went for a shower but no hot water. Asked for a fried egg and 2 sausages for breakfast. That took 45 minutes. It could be a great place with some organisation. We were probably unlucky on the night
SSharmaSachinThe hotel was okay overall, but there were a few things that could definitely be better. Water bottles weren’t given every day—you only get them if you ask, which felt a bit inconvenient. It’s something you expect to be taken care of without having to remind them. The internet in the room was quite slow. It worked, but not great—good enough for checking messages, but not reliable if you need to do work or stream anything. On the bright side, the lobby looked really nice—clean, modern, and a good place to sit and relax for a bit. In short, it’s not a bad place, but a few small improvements could make the stay much more comfortable. Swimming pool service was good.
AAlison DaveyFabulous and friendly staff. A huge asset.
Above the ground floor the hotel was pretty grim.
So uncared for it feels grubby. See pictures of the room, view and the only plug socket in the room (to use the kettle the entire kettle tray needed to be balanced on a chair infront of it)
Room hot with no fan and the noise that went on until after 1am by screeching young adults (unchecked by staff) meant that opening a window wasn’t an option. Very expensive for a hotel room that should be in the £40 bracket not over £100
The average price for hotels in Cork is SGD 372 on weekdays, and SGD 413 on weekends (Friday-Saturday).
