Holiday Inn Express Mesa Verde-Cortez

Room was clean but had other issues not associated to cleanliness. The bathroom sink drained slowly and would fill up. TV didn't work well. It would constantly freeze up and buffer. Screen in room was broke and wouldn't shut properly. Was able to move to another room for our final night and that room was fine.

Tired property but front desk clerk was very nice and welcoming. Fine place for an overnight

Needs a quality renovation We were excited to see that this tired property was finally getting renovated. But we think our room was one of the ones that had already been “renovated”. It had definitely been repainted—very poorly—as if it had been done in the dark. There was paint slopped on the carpet, tile, etc. It was NOT an improvement over the way the rooms were before. Also, the towels are super thin and rough as sandpaper. Time to replace those! Breakfast continues to be lackluster. On the positive side, the beds are wonderfully comfortable and the rooms are usually quite clean.

The pool and hot tub were closed. I chose the hotel because I wanted these amenities. I promptly cancelled my return trip there.

I booked two rooms through travelocity, but the hotel only had reservation for one room.
