Welcome to a precious gem - to visit the Forge resembles going on a trip to a different planet, the one of respect among natural world and humans. This is a place of Trees - they go before everything else and we all learn from them here. Dip in a crystal clean pond, breathe in the sauna, morning bird watching and nighttime star gazing, with the most thoughtful organisation and provision of all details you may need - 3 nights make you feel rested as if you were away from the world for 3 weeks. Please come if you respect the nature as the forge family does.

The Forge is absolutely beautiful and a haven for nature, woodland, meadows and a natural swimming pool. The facilities are great - there is everything you need for your stay. You can tell they have worked hard to create this magical place. Thank you Sheena and Jamie we can not wait to come back again! 5 star 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Absolutely wonderful Wild Swim Weekend hosted by Sheena, Hattie, and Claire. Went with a friend and left with many more! Stayed in the bell tent, which was super comfortable and clean and the little private kitchen was fitted with everything needed for a perfect stay in the beautiful surroundings of The Forge - the private WC was also an unexpected boon! Loved the guided swims, and it was a perfect balance of downtime and activities; food and hosting were superb. Also loved the storytelling by Fiona around the campfire as the sun set over the pond. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to literally dip their toe into wild swimming, or more experienced swimmers. Thanks for the memories #teamforge. Kate

We had a wonderful stay at The Forge. We stayed in the old gypsy caravan with little log cabin and it was splendid. Beautiful setting and really helpful hosts. A magical spot.Our cabin had everything we needed and the off grid hub provided plenty of light in a dark sky setting. We can’t recommend this relaxing and peaceful retreat enough. Close proximity to Llangollen provided much to do too. Perfect

I joined the Introduction to Wild Swimming Course that was led by Sheena and Hetty from The Forge, at Corwen. It spanned a number of months and ended at the Forge,Corwen, in December 2024 with a final wild swim, sauna and winter feast - a celebration of our achievements. We swam in a variety of gorgeous locations around Wales and England. Our guides, Sheena and Hetty were knowledgeable and so encouraging to everyone in the group. It was a tremendous experience and I am going back for more !

We hired the Forge for our annual staff gathering, as soon as we landed on the website we thought it would be the perfect venue for us as an outdoorsy group of people, but all expectations were exceeded. From booking through to the actual event, Sheena could not have been more helpful, nothing was too much trouble, all questions were answered quickly and pretty much anything seemed possible. We were so well looked after that organising the weekend was an absolute breeze - thanks Sheena. The facilities are fantastic. Super comfortable beds, the woodburners are great and keep the tents nice and cosy and the communal hut with woodburning stove was the perfect group hang out space. We got lucky with the weather so also got to make use of the outside fire pit. The sauna and swimming pond were definitely a highlight - the perfect way to wake up on a cold autumnal morning. The catering was spot on, we had pizzas one night and BBQ the next, and breakfast was lovely both days. A big thank you to James for looking after us so well and keeping us well fed. And to Alice for settling us in. Basically there's nothing we didn't like about the Forge, and really hope we'll be back!

The perfect weekend! My daughter booked me this as I’m in a bit of a tizzy with life! I went solo and have never felt so nervous on the journey, worrying about being on my own and sharing a tent with a stranger, having a fear of spiders just added to my stress. I pulled up and hoisted (reluctantly) my rucksack on my back and walked a few yards to the hut where I was greeted and hugged by Sheena and Hattie, I cried.. totally overwhelmed by the whole thing. Anyway it was such a nice welcome and I was shown to my tent.. a luxurious tent I might add! Hot water bottles, fluffy blankets, sofa etc.. a fully equipped kitchen!! A stove and a gorgeous welcome pack of chocolate etc.. this is where my journey started of meeting some fantastic people, eating scrumptious food (I dribble as I write) and learning the rules and the fun of the wild swimming world I’m now so happy to be in. Nothing was to much trouble for Hattie and Sheena, they worked so hard to make our weekend a relaxed and happy one and they did this with ease, the love they have for this is so evident in all they do to make you feel alive is incredible! We swam in a pond, lakes, rivers and the sea and we had wood burners and a lovely local story teller, it’s truly a weekend that just keeps giving and I highly recommend it! I’ve been back over a week and my heart is still there, this has opened up my life to a whole new level I didn’t know existed.. thank you to all that was there that weekend, and to Sheena and Hattie for the total devotion you have to out outside living.. the way you embrace life and all that nature brings. Go see for yourselves, it’s a weekend I’ll never forget!

Sheena has created a little piece of heaven at The Forge. Myself and 7 friends enjoyed exclusive use of the campsite, pond and sauna and it was wonderful. Sheena and Hattie curated a fabulous itinerary of open water swimming for us. We always felt in very safe hands and the swimming was great.

We had a wonderful time at the forge. We went for a family retreat. Jamie and Sheena are really friendly, down to earth hosts. They went above and beyond to cater for our dietary requirements providing gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options. Beautiful location. The activities were fun and engaging, the instructors were all lovely people, gave clear instructions and were patient with the kids. We did all sorts from bushcraft to beekeeping. The kids had lots of space to play and explore particularly enjoyed meeting the chickens. Highly recommended.
