The hotel is very correct and the facilities are very good, but it does not exceed expectations. What I liked the most was the theming of the dinners, with the cooks making sushi on the spot (in a Spanishized way, obviously). If you compare it to the price, it is very good value for money.

Have to write and review such an amazing hotel & staff team. We didn’t book this hotel originally but were upgraded due to Crystal being partially renovated. Our experience at the Palace has been exceptional! Concierge desk are polite and welcoming! Room is super size and view is out of this world. Heated swimming pool is amazing! Food selection is vast, not too impressed with Vegan selection but there are a couple of choices nightly! Fresh veggies & fruit galore! Cannot fault it here! Exceptional value for money!

A wonderful hotel with guests of many nationalities and varying ages who were polite and very pleasant.A “hello” and a smile in any language goes a long way so those who say other guests weren’t friendly, check yourselves! The staff on reception Pepe,Yousef and Frank are just fabulous and super kind, all spoke perfect English and catered to my every request and query with pleasure. My room 741 is just beautiful with amazing views and spotlessly clean The ladies here work hard to keep this hotel immaculate The food is gorgeous If you can’t find something great to eat here, there’s seriously something wrong with you! It’s fresh, well cooked and there is variety in abundance. The chefs and restaurant staff are more than happy to help you,as they did with me when I couldn’t find my table The pool is a lovely temperature and great size to get those lengths in,snack bar and drinks bar lovely The beautiful beach is a hop, skip n a jump away with turquoise water and white sand, you can walk for miles and it’s great for the soul! I still have 3 days left here and I’m excited to wake each morning to see what the day brings Please don’t believe the negative nancys on here,I’ve truly enjoyed every second.I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing and peaceful break. Its just wonderful and will hold a special place in my heart ❤️ xxxx

Just returned from 10 perfect days, lovely warm heated large pool, 25 degrees with just a slight breeze which was badly needed (as it was too hot on our balcony sun beds, but they would be perfect if it was windy), great food, nice clientel (99% German) and staff, lots of sun beds, amazing beach for long walks and a few beach bars. We go to the canaries every feb and this was possibly the best in the last 20 years. Very quiet at night as not much in the area but that was fine for us, may not suit others however. I wish I had found this hotel sooner, total relaxation with amazing weather and view and reasonably priced.

Quite a disappointing experience- NOT a family hotel, even though pools are supposedly designed for fun. No balls,, no snorkels or goggles, essentially, no fun. The hotel guests are mainly German and over 50. Two Germans screamed at us because we were enjoying a family conversation with our well behaved grandchildren- we were told to ‘silence’! - so don’t bring your children here if you want them to enjoy themselves. Rooms are very dated. We paid extra for a superior deluxe with sea view. However our daughters rooms were identical with exactly the same view but they paid less. The hotel is very ‘tired’ and in places desperate for attention. In our room the bathroom tile grout was awful and shower gel dispenser hanging off the wall. Air conditioning pushed out only warm air and the fan clicked constantly. The refrigerator was barely cold. With the exception of one or two, the staff seem tired, over worked and generally miserable. Pick your time for breakfast as when busy the staff just can’t keep up, we felt sorry for them as there just weren’t enough of them and some of the guests were quite rude - no wonder the staff aren’t happy. You can’t pay for anything in the hotel with card payments - it’s cash or on your room. The beach is lovely but you do have to pay for the loungers which we didn’t mind. The beach bar is great food. Search out the nice restaurants close by: Manama, Asia Garden and 555 are great. Don’t go to ‘China Town’ it was awful. Sorry to say we wouldn’t return to Costa Calma Palace. They should definitely advertise as family ‘unfriendly’ or German adults only. Hope this helps other families considering booking as we don’t usually do reviews

What a beautiful hotel . Very clean . And right on the beach too . My only moan was that I upgraded to sea view and only had half sea view due to a tree fern blocking half of it . Each time we relaxed on our balcony ends up bitten . But still could see the sea or half of it we was on holiday and did not want to stress . Rooms cleaned every day clean towels every day. Toilet rolls topped up every day could not fault the cleanliness.. two pools to choose from both with bubble spa massage . Food was ok but a shame it was not served with a smile or manners . Stronger Wi-Fi in reception hit and miss in the rooms . The beach is beautiful too . Staff in the pool bar restaurant much more happier and did try to communicate. We felt we was the only English people there as most people was German. Did find one couple who was English.. outside the hotel if you turn left there are a few shops including spa supermarket and gift shops and a few restaurants too . There is a bus you can get into town Morro Jable loads of shops and restaurants but you need to find the bus stop it’s too hard to explain. Would definitely recommend this hotel and would love to go back in the future. It certainly lives up to its name Costa Calma.

So once it was a palace, but not anymore... The most beautiful in this hotel is the ocean and nothing more. The beach is really wide and beautiful, though I wasn't lucky with the weather. It was very windy with less sun and few days in a row the sand from Sahara was blowing so much that everything was covered in a some king of fog. The hotel is old, the bed, the whole furniture and bathroom is from the beginning of 2000. Breakfast and dinner was good, but pretty often fish and meat were too salty. The guests are allowed to have a dinner from 17:30 till 19:00 and from 19:30 till 21:00. During the check-in you will be informed on your dinner time. Some entertainment are held evenings, during dinner and 2nd part after the dinner. You aren"t able to have a walk on the beach evening as there"s just 0 which is disappointing. The hotel is probably the best for seniors, calm with no stress.I can't recommend it, unfortunately.

Certainly not the preferred solution but in Fuerteventura they are all large buildings, eco-monsters that overlook the beaches and unload tourists with big bellies as if they were on a cruise and getting off transatlantic ships. Population is 95% German and over seventy. Opulent breakfast and dinner with good choice; very busy buffet place despite the two dinner shifts. Fortunately the turnout is Teutonic style, noisy and congested but not chaotic as it would be if they were Italian or Spanish. Clean and functional rooms, we had a sea view and in fact we were in the front row downwind. In essence, although we avoid such structures like garlic, on this island there is no choice and this is an excellent compromise. The cost is also competitive compared to others there, even from the same SBH chain. The waitress Daiana particularly, and the receptionists, are very careful and very friendly. Also che chefs. Compliments to the staff !
