Althought the check-in experience as very good, that's sadly where it ends. The rooms was small (typically Parisien small, I get that) but none the less it was functional. I reported a problem with my air conditioning being set permanently to hot to the front desk. The person I spoke to was extremely dismissive, and basically told me they cannot do anything about it. The setting are locked and everyone's room will be the same! He didn't offer to come and check, or find me another room. It was gone midnight and I was unable to sleep as it was so hot in my room! I had pre-paid for breakfast in my rate. The breakfast offering was shocking. Very little left, bread to toast, and no toaster. Only 3 hot items, all of which had no description (very little care for allergies!) and some fruit, yogurt, cheese, that was about. There was loose leaf tea with no tea pots! Most tables had not been cleaned since the last guest and the ones remotely worth sittting at were missing cutlery. One of the staff members was putting more pastries out with her bare hands, no hygiene considerations at all. I arrived for breakfast around 1 hour before it finished but clearly they just had a large group in who had consumed a lot and the staff could not be bothered to replace it and simply started putting things away around me whilst I was eating. When I checked out, the reception team member asked how my stay was, I told him about the issues and he simply said "I'm sorry about that" and no question was there anything he could to make it right. I forget this is not Hilton in that sense! Really poor experience over and so disappointing for a chain I usually know and love.
