Food poisoning, sewage smell in bathroom and mediocre service. Had a 6 night holiday end of Feb 2026 and there were 4 in our party. When we first checkedin, on first impressions I was already mildly disappointed. Unimpressive hotel lobby which just looked like your average minimalist Niseko 4 star hotel. The spa facilities were very basic, tiny sauna with no view. Pretty dead vibes compared to Les Airelles or Cheval Blanc. We were given an upgrade to be fair, however the toilet stank of a sewage smell and we highlighted it to the concierge on day 2 and they sent a technician up, it wasn't fixed and on day 4 they changed our room after admitted the shower was leaking and the wood was rotten in the baseboards. However the best was yet to come. On Day 3, we ordered room service separately to 2 rooms in our party, and both of the husbands got violently ill. Audio and heartrate data from Whoop showed 41 vomiting incidents from one of the men, and both were vomiting from 2-8am until a doctor arrived and administered an injection. The hotel manager did not even bother to call or visit in the first day, and the next day she told me that it was because she did not want to disturb us. I asked her why she didn't even give a courtesy Whatsapp, she claimed not to have my mobile phone number which is clearly ludicrous as all this info was given to Concierge desk and they had been messaging me throughout the entire trip. I also took her to task for the tone of her email message she sent, and she said it was because English was not her first language. What? This is the first time a hotel manager from a 5 star+ hotel has used this excuse. I cannot imagine this being a response from Badrutts Palace or any self-respecting German or Swiss hotel manager. The source of the food poisoning could only be due to their restaurants, as for the preceding 2 days we had breakfast, lunch and dinner all at their hotels. Furthermore, both men ordered similar items from room service - burger and sandwich, while the wives were unaffected as they ordered asian food and noodles. In the end they offered us a mediocre 1 night reimbursement out of 6 nights - which was 3,000 euros. At this pricing, this sort of clinical and mediocre service recovery is an absolute joke. They even charged for the doctor's visit and medication and when we disputed it, they wrote an email to say it was a mistake and they would refund it. There is so much more to write about - the sushi we had on the first night was not fresh and was sent back to kitchen, they offered us the opportunity to "upgrade to real wasabi root" which was a joke at that price point not to be offered authentic wasabi in the first place. The location on the ski piste was not as convenient as Les Airelles or Cheval Blanc. Never again. I posted about this on my social media under my own name and this is a 100% authentic experience.

Aman Le Mélézin is a very elegant and pleasant hotel in a beautiful setting. The staff are a real highlight. Service throughout the stay felt warm, attentive, and professional, and very much in line with what one expects from the Aman brand. Overall, the experience was very enjoyable. One area that felt slightly underwhelming, however, was the spa. While the facilities are nice, they are relatively limited, consisting mainly of two saunas and a pool. During the stay, the spa area felt quite informal, with little visible staff presence to guide guests or clarify how the space is intended to be used. At times, this affected the calm and relaxing atmosphere one would normally expect at this level. That said, Aman Le Mélézin remains a lovely hotel with excellent service and a refined atmosphere. With a bit more structure and guidance in the spa area, the experience could feel even more complete.

This is a special place. Having visited many AMAN properties already, this one surprised us, but in a very positive way. Here some highlights: - Intimacy: This is a small property, yet it feels very cosy and intimate; the atmosphere comes very close to visiting friends in their exclusive private Chalet - Room: We staid in a very cosy Chambre Ski Piste with Hot Tub; the views of the Bellecote piste from our Norwegian hot tub were mesmerising - Service: The team was very warm and provided outstanding service; concierge was very responsive and provided great tips and secured all reservations we requested; also, we received the best turndown gifts ever (won't spoil what it was) - Spa: Small, yet beautifully designed; it felt very private as their were mostly no other guests by the pool or in the sauna / hammam area - Food: The room rates include half board, while restaurants in the partner hotel Les Airelles are also included; this provided great variation and we were able to enjoy different cuisines of highest quality Overall a great stay and we will definitely come back.

We came here few times before. Booked 15 days in advance, asked whether it was a special event, and requested a beautiful table. Which we never get. They “cannot promise”. We get called to confirm. Very poor customer service on the phone, no skills, no friendliness. I will have a look haha - no clue about what you are offering No desire to attend to customers needs. . Or to have a drink while we get seated on a better place. This is not a 5* service. The whole staff was hanging out in the middle of the restaurant - managers and team chatting with each other while we were attended. Nobody greeted us .. If you want quality don’t go to this restaurant. No class just a beautiful seating. If you are lucky to get it. Food is too salty, not quality, they say Japanese food????? A joke, is a nightmare, all SALTY ONLY SALT ZERO

Excellent cuisine but deplorable welcome for this type of hotel it is unacceptable. We assure you that you can have lunch with the restaurant menu on the snack terrace (more comfortable armchairs) and once seated the "super" chef who presents herself as such wants to move everyone because at the snack bar we eat the snack menu. For 250€ for two for starter and main course... the service could adapt...
