This is the second time I have stayed at Gran Baita Hotel. Every aspect of our stay (we had a party of 11 people) was delightful. The staff, the food, the aperitivo hour, the rooms, cleanliness, the wellness center. We have no complaints.

Gran Baita is an excellent hotel - warm and comfortable, beautifully furnished with antiques, good quality well-equipped rooms, great indoor/outdoor pool, efficient minibus shuttle service to and from the ski lifts. The food is very good - decent selection of fresh and cooked options at breakfast and an excellent four course dinner with choices throughout, some exceptional and all delicious. The staff are great - friendly and happy to chat but also efficient and very hard working. Boss man was a little grumpy at times but perhaps he had a bad day. This was our second time staying at Gran Baita for a February ski holiday in Courmayeur and we hope to visit again next year.

The major problem that this hotel has is coldness in service and its staff. You don’t feel welcomed, no one cares to be nice and helpful. It’s very cold and lacks a spirit. I think it comes from the way it’s managed by the family that owns it. When we were staying at the hotel, the whole family of owners was there, and we saw them everyday, they never smiled, never said hi or asked if we liked the place or if anything was needed. They acted as if they were royals and the hotel staff cared about them and served them more than the guests. During the summer we stay for over a month in Tuscany at a hotel that is also owned by a family, but their genuine care about guests is visible in every little detail unlike in Gran Baita. If we ever to return to Courmayer we will not choose this hotel.

This family owned boutique hotel has the Best quality of service I have experienced in Italy. The food is incredibly delicious and the menu changes daily. The quality is superb! I will definitely come back!

The hotel has a lovely warm, welcoming feel, with comfortable lounge and bar area in which to relax, before a roaring fire. So lovely to stretch, swim and sauna in the pool, after a day’s skiing. The staff are all wonderful! So helpful and accommodating! The minibus service to the ski lift was particularly appreciated. I would highly recommend this lovely, family owned hotel and all that it offers.

Amazing hotel in a lovely location for access to the village and the slopes. The perfect ski weekend for our group. Would definitely return. Staff, rooms, food were top notch! You must try the chef’s egg delicacy! Spa facilities were not tried but looked good!

A great hotel for our recent ski trip to Courmayeur. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful. The spa was a nice way to recover after a day on the slopes before the evening meal and drinks in the bar or in Courmayeur village. The gondola was a 5 minute trip in the the hotel shuttle bus making it easy getting to and from the hotel to the slopes.
