Visited Cowes for a few days with my sister and had lovely meals in the Union. Pub located right on the slope leading to the seafront - what I would class as a proper pub serving proper pub grub! We were excellently served by Claire who couldn’t have done enough for us. I’d highly recommend if you’re looking for good old fashioned food and brilliant service.

What a lovely reception, we had been given the family room downstairs, the room was very clean, so nice to smell freshly laundered bedding...and nothing was too much. It over looked part of the high street and to the left of the property was a quaint walk to the sea...so yes a hop skip and a plop into the water that close! I was able to book in early, and also go to his coffee shop below for a bite to eat. The property is very much a traditional alternative old style, but he was having the property redecorated while we were there, some would say it would need modernisation, but it is a listed buying and sometimes seeing the charm of these old buildings to the stark modern rooms is lovely... so hopefully our next visit we will see the difference. We even got a thank you for staying text, when we left the next morning.
