The first time I visited Quarrie House last year it was great so I booked it again this year for my trip to Cramlington. This year it was horrific. I was traveling with my young son and we arrived later in the evening. We were assigned room 11 which was not in the main house, but outside on the car park. It was absolutely awful. Cold, damp, but that would have been fine except the room had not been cleaned prior to our arrival, in fact it didn’t seem like it had been cleaned for quite some time. The bed sheets were dirty and full of someone else's hair and body hair and stained. The bed hd been made, but the sheets were used and filthy. The bathroom had been used, body hair and fluff on toilet seat. There was a floor mirror (or rather a mirror that was leaning on the floor) covered in what I can only assumed was bodily fluids. Absolutely disgusting. The walls were yellow with damp, skirting boards crumbled, doors hanging off hinges. Completely unfit to be leased as a guest room. I tried to contact the out of hours number because all I wanted was a room Change or at minimum some clean sheets. There was no response by call, text or email. In the end I had to get a taxi to a different hotel. There was no way I was prepared to sleep on dirty sheets in a horrible damp, unclean room at the back of a hotel that clearly wasn’t part of the main hotel. There was no one on site to help and I still have not received a call or email or any response to my countless messages. Take a look at the photos. The positive reviews are for rooms in the main house. The room I got was nothing short of an outhouse. Why the heck did they put a woman and a child in an annex on the car park that hadn’t been cleaned?! No support, bo response to contact my text, call or email.
