"This place is a bit of a hidden gem. I paid less than the price of nearby budget hotels and got a lot more. Nunsmere is a country house hotel, tucked well back off the main road in it's own grounds, so the situation is very peaceful. Loads of free parking right at the door. My room was huge with a large well equipped bathroom, big comfy bed etc. The restaurant is fine dining which I didn't want, so ate in the bar which serves a range of light meals. Breakfast next day was very good and served by helpful and pleasant staff.
There was a wedding on when I arrived and another the next day and I can see why this is a popular venue for smaller celebrations, but it didn't disturb the regular guests.
All in all, if you need to stay in this area, I'd recommend Nunsmere Hall. It's a 'proper' hotel and as a solo female traveller, I felt very safe and relaxed there but it would also be great for a weekend stay for a couple."

"Room smelled of vomit and the curtains were torn informed staff they did seemed attentive but we were not offered a room change
Hotel is contracted to workmen working on the motorway also lots of couples with dogs in the room
In my opinion the cleanliness has declined in this hotel"

"There needs to be more food choice. Maintence IE change or repairs to doors or radiators should not be carried whilst guests are relaxing, working or having a late sleep in. On 2 occasions maintence staff worked for several hours ruining my stay. Very very noisey."

"Decided to book as travelling from Cotswolds to Whiston for a hospital visit. Sooo pleased we did!
Excellent location.
Lovely exterior and easy parking. Very warm welcome when arriving and very easy to book in. Staff are happy, cheerful, helpful and pleasant not only to the customers but also each other. This is a rarity these days in this industry and is heartwarming to see and encounter.
The room was quite large, so was the bathroom. All rooms are at the back of the building with a very cosy and pleasant passageway to them. A warm, quiet, and peaceful nights sleep in a very comfortable room.
We dined here and had breakfast too. Nothing was too much bother. Portions for the evening meal were on the generous side and the food was delicious.
I would say this hotel is a little gem and would return any time. I've already recommended it to family!"
