Hotel Hacienda Cusco Plaza

This was one of the worst hotel experiences of my life. I had booked Standard Double rooms, and when I checked in they claimed they had given me an "upgrade" to better rooms. The rooms however were located in an old wing and looked terribly dated, smelled musty, and had carpets that looked like they had not been cleaned in ages. There were also several stairs to get to that "upgraded" room, which was not ideal as I had my elderly mother and two small children in my party. When I went to the front desk, the lady (who was not very pleasant) insisted that these were "upgraded" rooms even though it clearly did not appear to be the case. Eventually we got the rooms that we had booked, but they did not give us two rooms side-by-side as we had requested. We were also quite displeased as the rooms were not cleaned well with dustballs on the ground and hair in the bathtub. Even after we informed the front desk of this, and they claimed the rooms had been "thoroughly cleaned", the dustballs remained in the rooms. Also, basic amenities such as bottled water and a hairdryer was missing from the rooms. The beds were terribly uncomfortable and creaky, and it was impossible to sleep at night with the thin walls and being able to hear every single thing that was going on in the corridors. We were really glad to check-out of this hotel.

The hotel decor was quite comfortable and fresh, the attention was perfect, they were there anytime I needed them, the place is close to many tourist spots, and finally the hotel restaurant was amazing, a perfect place to relax and have a greet experience.

I have been traversing through South America and stayed here for 3 nights. First night was a not the best regarding the room selection. Dont get the room facing the road. Very noisy with close proximity of traffic. The staff were fantastic to switch rooms. They provided a room opposite the roadside, which was nice. A good night sleep! My last night was pleasant, the restaurant was quiet but good. I had the Ceviche is good and the fettuccine is spicy n delicious. And Wilson is personable, with great customer service. Machos Gracious !

Stunning old world charm, helpful staff (both Wilson and front desk). Stayed in the colonial rooms and loved the inner courtyard and hallway styles. Hot water in showers, comfortable beds and pillows. Good food for breakfast and plenty of choice. Great location opposite plaza and fireworks over the hotel topped it off.

The hotel is in the center, so you can discover many restaurants and sights on foot. The rooms are old and very noisy. You can hear not only the street noise extremely well, but everything that goes on around you. We weren't impressed with the breakfast. The most positive thing was the egg station. We wouldn't return to this hotel.

The hotel was great for us!!we had 5 children and needed a safe comfortable place after our original reservation in another hotel wasn’t honored in one of busiest months in the city. They were so kind to accommodate us and the staff was amazing! Everyone was so ready to help and make our stay as confortable as possible,100 points for costumer service!! Special thanks to Miss Shirley and Miss Diana In reception,they were great! From providing tourist Information to packing us breakfast to go,they truly care for their costumers, they made us feel so welcome. The rooms are very clean and comfortable,even though is an old hotel and it is not a luxury hotel,it has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The location is unbeatable,close to everything,two blocks from main square and close to other places to visit,restaurants,stores,train station,so convenient. Yummy Hot breakfast,all natural juices and omelette station,special thanks to both servers at breakfast time,so kind and polite workers,helped providing everything the children needed to start our busy sightseeing days in Cusco. I recommend this hotel for sure, A wonderful place with great location and amazing hospitality and service.
