I stayed two nights at the guest house and was impressed by the cleanliness of the room and common areas. The hosts extended a lot of hospitality and made me feel very much at home. The property is conveniently located close to the Erhai, without the noise of the crowds and the pricey rates of hotels next to the lake. I will highly recommend this guest house to foreign tourists as they can accept overseas guests.

Our Stay at Joy and Grace Inn was incredible. The owners are two incredibly kind and welcoming people, who truly went above and beyond to make us feel at home in Dali.
The inn itself was beautiful—quite literally a two minute walk fro Lake Erhai. Jonathan, one of the owners, helped us sort out bikes and other transportation as necessary to make sure we were able to enjoy all the amazing features Dali has to offer!
I should also note that one of the members of our group got food poisoning during our time here (unrelated to the inn), and Jonathan and his wife went above and beyond to make sure he had everything he needed and was comfortable. Really can’t thank them enough!
I also highly recommend this inn to foreign travelers, as the owners speak amazing English!

Facilities: The room is large, with electric blankets, hot and cold water, hair dryers, kettles, etc.

Environment: It is a very warm and comfortable courtyard. There is a beautiful rocking chair downstairs, a tea room on the roof, and you can see Cangshan Mountain and Erhai Lake from the rooftop. Service: It was off-season when I went there, and I was the only customer that day😁. I checked in at around 3pm, and the boss took me to the ancient city for a tour. The boss is a very interesting person. He has been to many places as a guide. Friends who have not done any guides can ask the boss to find out. There are many places with beautiful scenery where there are few people and you can take your time. They are a very nice family. Seeing that I was alone, they even invited me to dinner. The food cooked by the boss lady and mother was very delicious😋. I ate the pure home-raised pork that was very fragrant and crispy. I don’t like people who show off a big bowl of rice. ; I also drank the wine brewed by the owner. It was very smooth in the mouth and I liked it very much. I got a little drunk after drinking two glasses😵.
