Dalyan Villa Kiydan Apartments

I visited the appartments in September and had the best time!! The owner, Onur, was so welcoming and supported us the whole time we were there - giving recommendations, supporting with any questions we had, etc. The apartments are perfect for a couple and also families with a lovely pool and lounging area. It is in such a good location, with only a 5-10 min walk into the centre of town. Couldn't recommend it more!!

Just had a fantastic week at the villa Kiydan Beautiful duplex apartments in a gorgeous setting 10 mins walk from Dalayan town center The apartments are large and well equipped and spotlessly clean nothing is too much trouble for Onur his wife and Staff . Another lovely stay at Villa Kiydan. With it being early November, we were the only guests. It's such a comfortable place to stay, with everything you need for a relaxed holiday. Town is a short 10-15 minute walk, and we were really lucky with the weather for this time of year, only seeing a couple of rainy days with most days having daytime temps around 25-27 and lots of sunshine. On those rainy days, a self catering apartment shows its benefits, with the TV and the large collection of books available coming in handy. We love the peace and quiet available at this end of town, although we rarely don't take the 10 min walk to a bar in the evening. Dalyan is very quiet in November, with many places closed for the winter- but there's still enough open to have choice of where to eat or drink. It was also half-term for Turkish schools, so I had the chance to be showed up by Onur's children playing football with me a couple of times during our stay. Great, relaxing time. Genuinely worth a visit, in seaso or out of season. Oh, duvets were available and greatly appreciated (10 degrees at night) 🙂

Having just returned we found Onur and his family very welcoming. The villas are self catering and are very nice. They have everything in for you to enjoy your stay and if you want to cook they have everything available in the villas for you to use. You can order food on request if you would like this option but Onur told us about some wonderful little family run restaurant that did breakfast and we took full advantage by going and enjoying. We sat opposite the tombs on the river to enjoy our mornings watching all the boats going by. This was a 5 minutes walk from the villas but most wonderful breakfast and scenery. Onur has taken us out on his boat for the day and even in his people carrier showing us all the local ruins and even to other towns, he very proud to do this and very welcoming in his approach to every family. We have holiday in Turkey for the last 10years mostly in fethiye but after finding these apartments and Dalyan we will always choose this. Onur local knowledge on bars and the restaurant was greatly appreciated by us all and we spent our days trying to get through some of the wonderful restaurants that Dalyan has to offer. We came to Dalyan and stopped with Onur as guest but we have become very good friends with him and his family, this is how welcoming Onur is in his approach to everyone stopping with him. You can be assured that he has wealth of local knowledge and is very good host, we can not wait to return next year.

Villa Kydan offers a tranquil escape very close to the heart of Dalyan. The villas/appartments itself are beautifully appointed, clean, and comfortable, with a lovely pool perfect for relaxation. The location is ideal, within walking distance of the riverfront and local amenities. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and helpful, providing excellent recommendations for local restaurants and activities. They were always available to answer any questions and ensure a smooth stay. We have been coming to this location for years and highly recommend.

Apartments were clean and up to date, the area was a nice location - this is the reason for 3 stars. We were very happy with this. However, the hosting was an issue and what we had read online about the villa. We had the impression it was fantastic before we arrived but this was most likely the case many years ago, which is a shame. Firstly, we had one half of a toilet roll and we had arrived with a baby and family. We have never stayed at a place where we are not without toilet roll for a family. This is a simple and costless suggestion which goes a long way. Rather than helping this situation, the host insists ‘we pay in cash now so we don’t have to carry the cash around’. We noticed he didn’t even assist with our suitcases where other people in Turkey did this so thoughtfully. This was not a good first impression. There was no offer of a water cooler until we asked on day 5, of which my father in law had to carry the water bottle him self to the room. We read on the website that there was a restaurant and cafe bar. Upon arrival we asked if we could possibly order something for breakfast, we suggested a turkish breakfast. Onur said that this was unavailable and suggested he could drop half of our party off into town to show us a place to get breakfast. We soon realised the following day that there was no food available at any times of the day or even a drink, let alone no honesty bar in sight. We also read there would be a banquet evening once a week. We feel sad that when booking this holiday we chose accommodation that could offer us food and drink on the grounds on occasions in view of us taking a baby away with us. We had stopped at the accommodation for nine nights and the first sight of food was a cake on the day we were leaving. Furthermore, the information book provided at the villa (please see photo) is what we expected when we booked the holiday. I do hope the website is updated and the information book is updated. We did expect more from a travellers choice winner, don’t be fooled by this and hopefully people will look elsewhere until things are changed at Villa Kiydan.
