Dalyan Basar Hotel

A very welcoming hotel,eggs are the main feature for breakfast.the quirky door locks made a talking point we had 6 rooms and each door behaved differently but nothing that couldn't be handled.a short walk to shopping area with a good choice of restaurants and access to the river.a special mention to oktay on the bar he is good at remembering names and drinks and will help you out with local advice

What a fantastic hotel. We visited as a family of four (two teenagers) . The rooms were perfect we had two separate apartments where we had our own balcony and en-suite. The hotel is very clean and the rooms are cleaned and fresh linen every day. The pool is great with a good bar offering food and drinks. We were half board and ate in every day as the food was so nice. Lots of choice and fresh omelet and crepes made just for you every morning. The hotel is also in the perfect location. We will definitely be returning soon!

The hotel was lovely. Nice and near the town easy walkable. Breakfast lovely. Nice pool Very clean all round. Nice staff . Would come back again 100.% Dalyan is a Very nice place and lovely views. Boat trips to turtle 🐢 beach run Very regular.

A ten-minute walk from the main tourist ***** (which is the ideal distance – meaning it's easy to get to the bars and restaurants, but you don't have to listen to them when you're sleeping), this is a lovely and very professionally-run family hotel. With two pools to choose from, you can either spend time by the main pool and bar, or pop over the road to the equally large but slightly quite pool, which is less used by children. Delicious breakfasts every morning, with fresh produce grown and made by the hotel. Omelettes are rustled up in a flash, and freshly-presed orange juice is available for a small extra charge. Rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable with very good air-con and excellent showers. (It was hot, so I was having three quick showers each day – before breakfast, dinner and bed!) The manager and his team pride themselves on running things smoothly – often not the case in bigger, corporate 'chain' hotels. We had a problem with the wood of one of our room doors having expanded slightly, making it a bit hard to close. Within the hour, the maintenance team has the door off its hinges and were sanding it down. Our flight back to Gatwick wasn't leaving till the evening, and the hotel also allowed us to keep one of our rooms until 4pm (having checked out of the other at 11) so we had a base for the day and could use the facilities. All in all, a great hotel, and highly recommended.

Fantastic place to stay. We were moved to a twin bed room without any fuss. Extremely welcoming and friendly staff. We went half board and the food was also brilliant with a very imaginative menu. The breakfast and especially the omelettes were brilliant. Probably the best holiday experience we have had. Any request was no trouble. An all round great experience and close to town and river. Perfect.

Lovely hotel, 5 minutes walk from the river and view of the tombs. We stayed half board so buffet breakfast in the morning (freshly made omelettes, pancakes and cereal etc.) with a set menu for the evening meal (soup to start followed by meat, veg, potatoes/rice and a selection of cold salads etc.) They put the evening meal on the board in the morning so you can see what is on offer. The chef was very friendly and the serving staff very nice. They also do good snacks for lunch. We were in the main hotel block but they have another block diagonally across the road from the hotel entrance, I believe they are the deluxe rooms. There is a pool at the main hotel, but I think the pool across the road is nicer (although neither were heated so it takes a lot of time to get in!). Dalyan is lovely! We did lots of local walks. We got the rowing boat across the river (from near Saki on the main promenade) and walked to the left by the tombs (they weren’t open and I’m not sure whether they are permanently closed?) to Kaunos ancient city. It’s an amazing place with a crumbling amphitheater. We went to turtle beach twice and walked the length of the beach (4km?). Getting the bus one way and the taxi boat the other. You should definitely go on a boat, it’s a lovely trip. I thought the bus end of the beach was nicer but there’s not a lot in it. The sea was very warm and it was £3 for a sun lounger - bargain! We spoke to a couple of ex pats who had retired to Dalyan and I can see why, it’s a fantastic place!
