We had the best views of the Yalu River, Broken bridge and the friendship bridge from our room and could look into North Korea with binoculars. The binoculars in the room were a thoughtful addition.
Mr. Huang Rui at the Reception desk was very helpful. He helped us with transport and restaurant recommendations and kept checking in on us from time to time.
The room was comfortable, but the bathroom was really small and congested. However, the breathtaking view made up for it. So, no complaints. Highly recommend this hotel.

The location is the best among the hotels at that area. Hotel is just alongside the Yalu River which we can see the famous river and the broken bridge and also North Korea from hotel room directly. Surrounding the hotel there are many Korean eateries and souvenirs shops. I enjoy my best ginseng chicken soup there. Will book the same hotel for my next trip.

The Zhonglian Hotel is one of the best-located hotels in Dandong, sitting right on the Yalu River with direct views of the Broken Bridge and even across to North Korea. The hotel is older and a bit dated, but it is well maintained and clean. The rooms are comfortable, and the vintage décor gives an old-time atmosphere that makes the stay unique.
Breakfast is available with both Chinese and some Western choices, though the variety could be improved . Staff are polite and helpful, and the riverside location makes it easy to enjoy evening walks or explore nearby restaurants.

Top location. Get the floor to ceiling windows for the river view of DPRK. Bring your own binoculars though because the one provided for mine was a bit faulty. But everything else was great.

We enjoyed our stay. We eventually payed extra because we wanted the river view & we had booked the city view. Even though my Chinese is not great and I’m still learning the frontdesk ladies were very helpful. I recommend the river view because that is what everyone comes here to see and the lights of the bridge are beautiful to see at night. I recommend it!

The best-located hotel in order to see North Korea and visit the Broken Bridge, just make sure to get a river room. Binoculars are provided in the room to see into North Korea, which is a great touch.
The service was decent, but I'm not sure if it's because the didn't speak English, but the reception just gave me the room key and didn't give me any directions or assistance on how to get to the room until I had to ask.
The bed is comfortable, but the room, except the bathroom, seems quite old and in need of an upgrade.

Overall, decent stay. You can't beat the location. It is only about 15-20 minute walk from the train station, or about 5-10 min car ride. It's right in front of the two bridges and you can see it perfectly from your room if you book that type of room. Unfortunately, it is an old property and it shows. The carpet is ancient and I question how often, if at all, they deep clean the carpets. As with every hotel in China, there's a lingering smell of smoking in the hallways, but I didn't notice any smell in my room. The room has an ashtray which is interesting in a non smoking room. The air conditioning is old but works fine. The bathroom is rather big which is nice.
