Family-friendly Hotels in Daocheng

Really nice hotel conveniently located near restaurants and museum. Good place to stay if passing through to Yading, Kaeding, or Chengdu. The hotel has a decent breakfast with a variety of options, all Chinese. The hotsprings were closed when I was there due to the government having a meeting the next day. Why they couldn't have them opened made no sense, but it costs extra to utilize them anyway. The rooms are equipped with oxygen pumps for 100 RMB a day if you need. The elevation is around 4100 meters so if not acclimatized could be an issue. Rooms are modern, very large, and include comfortable beds, large TV with hundreds of channels, for free, but very common in many Chinese hotels. Bathrooms are large with separated showers and toilets, as well as sink and mirror. Overall a very quality room with American standard. Highly recommend for a night. Great hotpot restaurants nearby and other options.

Superb hotel, very new! It is a nice and very warmly and beautifully decorated house. Breakfast is provided and yummy! The rooms are spacious and provide a lot of extras like water, instant coffee, heating blankets, oxygen. The views of the rooms are great! The hotel is very good located in yading village with a few good restaurants in walking distance. The real pearl of the hotel is the staff: super friendly and very helpful! Also the owners speak great English! Definitely recommend to go stay here if you hike yading! The park is great!

The hotel is located in Daocheng County, with convenient parking and transportation. The room is spacious, comfortable and clean, the service is warm, and oxygen is free. This is the most satisfactory hotel on this trip.

📍Location: The hotel is about 30 minutes' drive from Daocheng Yading Scenic Area. The whole road is easy to walk. It is near the snow mountain, with an altitude of nearly 3,600 meters (don't worry about hypoxia, the hotel provides oxygen concentrators for free), and it is very quiet at night. 🥘Food: There are relatively few restaurants around. You can order food at the hotel. Dinner is served until 9 pm, so I ordered food in advance on WeChat and informed the arrival time. The recommended beef blanket (should be this name) is a bit like boiled beef covered with a piece of dough. It tastes very good and the portion is large. I also ordered a plateau potato twice-cooked pork. The potato is thin and crispy. My wife likes it very much. However, because it is in Sichuan, the dishes are spicy. Friends who can't eat spicy food should make notes in advance. 🧑🏻💼Service: The staff are polite and kind. The boy who met me is tall and thin. He pays attention to service details and is very considerate. When we checked out the next day, we met a gentleman who looked like the boss. He chatted with us and introduced the history of the hotel. It turned out that the hotel has been around for 20 years. It was demolished and rebuilt in 2018, and it took 4 years to build. 🛏️Guest room: clean, warm and detail-oriented, Toshiba smart toilet, IKEA cups, humidifiers, what I found particularly magical was that the combs provided were not plastic disposables, but small wooden combs, which were so cute that I took them away haha. The water volume was sufficient and the hot water came out quickly. The bedding was clean and hygienic. 💖Highlight: Of course it was the hot springs. After the hell hike in Aden, soaking in the hot springs was so relaxing. There are many pools, including high-temperature and low-temperature areas, and wooden barrel areas that local *******s prefer. There is also an infinity pool. At night, you can watch cars passing by on the road below from time to time. The a**osphere is so good. It is said that there is also a ”wild pool” surrounded by stones under construction. The next morning, I communicated with the hotel and they changed my bed sheets and quilt covers. The hotel is on a street with food and pharmacies. The air conditioner in the room does not have a cooling function, but it is not really needed. There is a rural passenger bus near the hotel that goes directly to the scenic spot. Due to the conditions, the breakfast options are very limited, so don't have too high expectations.

Xiaoying is not in the town. The location is Rencun. It is a few minutes walk from the gate of the scenic spot. It is slightly higher than the altitude of the town. The advantage is that you can park the car in the courtyard, saving the parking fee of 20 yuan in the scenic parking lot, and you can also borrow trekking poles for free. The hotel proprietress and the front desk sister are very enthusiastic. As soon as I arrived at the store, I filled my parents with an oxygen bag and sucked it up (just suck it, and then go to the front desk to charge it). The local water quality is hard, and we are given filtered purified water. Anyway, we are responsive. The room was spacious and comfortable, the bedding was clean and tidy, the duvet was soft, and the sleep was particularly good when climbing down the mountain. The breakfast in the restaurant is really good. The scrambled eggs in the comments are soft and delicious. The dinner is authentic Sichuan cuisine. The boiled yak beef is very tender. The bottom is a variety of vegetables. It tastes great! I also brought the dried beef jerky, 150 pounds, the choice of five fragrances, the spicy spicy flavor is too heavy, the five fragrances are not only very fragrant but also very chewy, it is indeed a real yak beef jerky. I stayed here for two days, and I still sent a foot bath to soak my feet that night. But the mineral water mentioned in the comments is no longer available. It is estimated that unconscious people can't bear it too much. But if you need the front desk, you will still be given it to you.
