The ground floor apartment we received (12, to keep you safe) was quite small and a lot of it was outdated and clearly needed a massive renovation. The sliding door in the bathroom was absolutely horrendous to use, the children frequently locked in because of the system. The cockroaches were also present at the party. The window in the kitchen had no blinds or any system for privacy, as if we were in an aquarium. For a little privacy we had to improvise something with a shirt. For the first time in Greece, at breakfast, we got orange juice diluted with water. We have never met such a thing, especially in Crete, the mother of oranges. Too much greed from the owners. The eggs (fried) were soaked in oil and most of the time they were cold and had a horrible taste. The Wi-Fi was terrible, it couldn't be used in the room. The layout of the restaurant (??) was at least dubious, the chairs used were clearly oversized and very difficult to handle. During the breakfast near the tables dogs, cats and cleaning staff with buckets smelling of detergents. We don't mind house pets, but when I eat I don't even want to make slalom among them, especially in the limited space where breakfast was served. I admit that we were somehow fooled by the good reviews. Absolutely 100% sure, we will NOT come back here. NEVER. All in all, breakfast was to say ... enough. Of the few servings one could choose something to start the day. Another advantage would be the proximity to many taverns with local dishes. Also, in the vicinity are some sandy beaches with smooth entry into the water, suitable for children. Towels and sheets changed very often.

I came here with my boyfriend because I saw online that they had gluten free options … it was the best Greek food I have ever had! We had a calamari salad (the sauce was really special and the grilled calamari really fresh), moussaka (which reminded me of an Italian lasagna) and kleftiko (the meat was melting in the mouth). In addition, they had gluten free Cretan cheese cake … no need to say that the additional spoon they brought for my boyfriend remained unused :D Last but not least, the waitresses are extremely attentive, to make sure they are next to your table when you need them and that you are enjoying their good food. Highly recommended!
