Just had an 11 night stay here and had a lovely time. All the people that work here are very friendly. Great restaurant and good prices. Pool is really nice. The beach is a couple of mins walk away and there are 3 other beaches 8 to 10 mins away. Rooms are basic but clean, plenty of loo roll and clean towels. The air con didn't work properly but was fixed the same day when we reported it. Shout out Nusa the cleaner who took care of us, the very hardworking Tanya who runs the shop and the restaurant and Alex on the bar, everyone was so nice and really made our stay great.

Perfect stay. The beach is very close and the city center too. We stayed in a bungalow and we loved it. Staff of reception was very helpful and organised some trips for us, like Samaria gorge. Value for money

I have got a message from Michalis who is the host of this camp on airbnb that they are sending me a refund (i didn'task for refunds though) because the was an overcharge with a link that takes me off Airbnb, and when I reached out to Airbnb customer support they said it's invalid so basically this person is scammer, I am not sure if the camp is aware of this or not. Anyway this is not a safe place and they're all stealing people's information and money!

Our second year at Camping Chania in Agios Apostolis, just to the west of the city. We have our own campervan, but we usually rent one of the cabins with an attached toilet/shower and that is what we did again this year. These are lovely clean and spacious cabins and we would thoroughly recommend them as well as the ordinary pitches for campers and mobile homes, Nikos, Pedros, Costas and (young) Nikos are all extremely helpful, as is Tania, the lovely lady who runs the shop. In addition to all this, the site cafe is a real find. The head chef Stella, produces fresh food of real quality every night at prices which are incredibly reasonable. The House white is excellent and the service provided by her lovely son Angelos is a pleasure. All-in-all a very smart operation on all fronts. Andy and Liz, Liverpool, UK

We had a bungalow. It was big enough for 2 adults a toddler. With private toilet, AC and fridge. It was clean with room service. The workers are nice and welcoming and the food is good both at the bar and at the restaurant. There is a store which is very convenient and not expensive. The atmosphere and the pool are very nice and there is also a small playground for the little ones. Highly recommended.

Very hard beds at the mobile homes og the building was built crooked. We came end of season, but all was closed at the camping. Minimarket was only open a couple of hours, depending of the mood. Very shady place, but thats probably good at high summer. Bit dirty everywhere and junk all around. End of season i know, but then it's better to close up! Staff was very nice though and all in all, we had a good time. We moved to a hotel rest of the days. Nice area and very close to beaches.

I highly recommend this camping! The tent we rented was fully equipped with a perfect shadow. Super close to the beach and the most important thing for me: really clean! I also enjoyed the pool too! The highlight was the stuff• friendly and helpful! I will come back for sure the next time that I'll travel to Crete

The old man who owns camping Hania is a sadist and wants everybody to suffer. Why? The toilets and showers are not being cleaned at all, they just put new toilet paper rolls, that's all. The managing worker says it is normal to smell like piss and be visibly dirty and filthy allover (quote: "camping is not a 5 star hotel"). There are two dogs on chains right next to the children's playground, barking everytime someone passes. The one dog was trying to copulate with a little italian girl (her legs) on the swing, which he can reach within his chain's range. When commenting that to the manager, I was told to take care of my child not to run around the dogs, because they "can not guarantee anything". Our child was puking in the second day, we do not know what he ate or what the owner gave him (our child was with them/him for some time). We left as fast as we could. It was overpriced for season's beginning with 26€/day for two adults and a tent. We did not get a receipt according to Greek law, they laughed when we asked. They want to take copies of all pages of the passports so you must bring a censored copy yourself to avoid them misusing the copies they make. The washing machines are all old, filthy, broken and do not work at all. If you plugged it in the fuse would short, which means there is imminent danger of electric shock. The electricity was down about half of the time aswell, so do not expect to get power reliably. They welcome you warmly but after the price is agreed upon all they do is lie and sit around lazy watching TV most of the time. The place is full of very old or broken stuff that they don't want to get rid of. We did not even get an excuse, for them it is daily business. When we asked to get a discount because nothing is working and all dirty they did not agree and said they would call the police if we did not pay the full price as agreed. This was the worst camping experience we ever had by far. This is the worst camping site in Greece, maybe even in all of Europe. There is no alternative camping option in or near Chania so I recommend sleeping at the beach or rent a clean apartment for a bit more money. It's a riddle to me how this place can have a four star rating.
