Premier Inn Dartford

The location and prices are great while saying that I have used this hotel for many years now and I have started to notice it is starting to get a little tired in places with a lack of attention in the following areas. The entrance area has a lot of rubbish/ detritus in flowerbeds near the door. A lot of pigeon droppings have accumulated over a long period of time just as you walk to the entrance door. Rooms: My first room which I hope had obviously not been inspected recently as it had a lot of mould on the ceiling above the bed which appeared to be from a previous water leak from the roof or pipe work in the attic area above. We were moved to another room which we found to be fine but did not have enough towels and had to again go to reception and ask. Beds, the mattresses on the beds do not appear to be as good a quality as previously, they seem to have changed. This is the first time my wife has not had a good nights sleep at a premier inn, the mattress felt it was sloping into the middle of the bed. When sitting on the end of the bed, I could feel the metal frame below which is something I have not experienced previously as I have always mattresses felt were very good quality but no longer unfortunately. Facilities in the room, they no longer have glasses in the rooms and have changed the ceramic mugs to glass ones which although slightly larger look cheaper. Staffing, they are always available and friendly when booking into the hotel and are happy to assist with any questions.

Beverley on reception Monday morning was amazing. She was clearly on her own and juggling lots of tasks but was still happy to help me with some local area questions. When I said about not looking forward to bringing my luggage down with the lifts not working she advised me to give her a ring when I was ready and she would come and assist me. Amazing service .

The bed was really comfy . The only two things that let the room down were a couple of big stains on the carpet and the fact the air con was set at a minimum of 19c which was too hot to sleep in. The room was lovely and spacious with nice comfy chairs in . very nice having a fridge in the room. The lifts need to be working at all times . They were both out of order at one point and somebody got stuck in one during our stay and we only heard her because we had walked right up to the lift !!!

Lovely clean hotel as usual, food was good and they serve Jam Shed, but would like to thank the beautiful young lady Maddy who was checking people in, serving behind the bar and waiting tables, very pleasant, efficient and a credit to Premier inn. Thank you Maddy.

tHere are some Internal Communication issue between their reciption and domestic staff, we requested to tidy up our room when we left in morning but when we cam back it was same as we left. no cleaning at all. I was there with my family specially 3 kids.

Reception staff always friendly, helpful and can’t do enough for you. It’s always a pleasure to stay at Premier Inn in Dartford. The mattress is very comfortable so we had to buy one. We forgot our laptop in the room when we checked out and the receptionist called us to let us know. Cannot thank you enough
