👍🏽Pros:
- Free shuttle bus to and for Sapporo station
- A variety of complimentary tea bags in the lobby
- Public bath is awesome! There are 7 kinds of baths. My favorite one is the open bath, where I bathed when it was snowing. What a extraordinary experience.
- Dinner and breakfast are buffet style. Many options and food is yum.
- Some reviews mentioned that the facilities/room seemed old, but I found the vintage Japanese-Style room comfortable and great. I really enjoyed the stay!
- There are 2 massage chairs next to public bath.
👎🏽Cons:
- Not many staffs speak English so it's a bit difficult to communicate. It took a while for the front desk staff to find our bookings.
- Private bath is not worth it. It's a waste of money.
- Needs to put up signs about the etiquette of using public bath. When I took a shower in the public bath, the Korean group all showered while standing and kept splashing. They chatted loudly and shouted at each other. One of them even kicked water in the bath......
Let’s talk about the advantages first: It’s a very cute family hotel with very new equipment. The children’s buffet bar is very cute. There are many types of restaurants, but almost all of them are fried foods that children like. There is a children’s playroom in the restaurant. Children love ice cream and wagyu, which is delicious. It’s outdoor The swimming pool water is very clean and connected to the large hot spring pool, so you won't catch a cold.
Disadvantages: The communication between the hotel staff is not very good. You have to check in by yourself. Moreover, I booked a room for three people, but they only gave us a double room and did not make extra beds. We had to communicate with the hotel staff for a long time to help us deal with it. I booked a room for two adults and one child and then charged me an entrance fee for young children. It was very inconvenient to book a room for two adults and one child and then charge it later.
Part of the floor of the outdoor swimming pool is abraded and is quite painful. Children may be injured if they accidentally scratch it, so be careful.
The buffet in the restaurant almost contains food that children love to eat. There are many types but nothing special, but it is easy to take pictures.
The most satisfying hot spring hotel I stayed in during this trip to Hokkaido. There are many kinds of hot springs, and a wide variety of breakfast and dinner.
Suitable for self-driving. The service attitude is very good, and the English communication is also a good experience in Japan.
Next time I will bring my parents to play together, it is suitable for lying flat.

The most satisfying hotel on this trip, the scenery is picturesque. When you walk out of the room, you will see the beautiful snow scenery. You can enjoy the snow while taking a bath, which is a full life experience. The room is very large, the facilities and items are very complete, and the service attitude is very good. Every staff member always has a smile on his face and is very enthusiastic to help. It is only a five-minute taxi ride from the shore of Lake Toya. The kaiseki dinner is very exquisite, and there is a separate private room for privacy. The pudding delivered every day is very delicious! This time I was able to book Song of Light. My trip to Hokkaido was worthwhile. I really couldn’t get enough of it. I will come again next time!

This is the most satisfying house I have ever lived in Japan. No matter the size, facilities and environment are first class, there is a feeling of being in New Zealand.
Environment: About 2 kilometers from Toya Lake Commercial Street, a little distance walk, very quiet, surrounded by scattered residential rooms. It was a little scared outside the house in the middle of the night.
Service: Wanshi Pavilion takes the key, check out and put the key directly in the villa, check out at 10 o'clock is more troublesome
Facilities: The information shows that it has been open for 23 years, but the facilities inside are obviously not new. Some years, but the maintenance is very good. The things used are very advanced. The sink in the kitchen is particularly good. Microwave oven, oven, tea set tableware induction cooker have everything, especially the whole hot spring, dressing room, There are showers, it feels like a holiday house designed by rich people for themselves, and later sold to Wanshige.
Location: There is a convenience store 5 minutes walk. But if you are not driving, it is not recommended.
It’s a guest house located next to Lake Toya, but away from the crowd and the hot spots of the lake. The dinner and breakfast are of good choice, well cooked by their local people. We highly recommend it to people of limited budget but expecting good value.
The lobby and public areas of the hotel felt grand and inviting. However, the room type we booked definitely needs renovation – the tatami was soft, and the bathroom was old and stained, so we opted to use the public bath and outdoor onsen instead, which were far superior. Our room did have access to an outdoor garden facing Lake Toya, offering a stunning view, especially with the snow. We had a great time at the indoor arcade. The outdoor open-air onsen was a highlight – one of the best experiences, overlooking the serene lake while snow gently fell. I’d consider staying here again but would choose a different room type next time.
