Comfort Inn Bettendorf - Quad Cities

This hotel appeared to be recently remodeled. Immaculately clean. Courteous staff. Bed was comfortable; nice pillows. Breakfast was good with plenty of options. Older wall-style AC/heater allowed us to run fan all night for white noise and set temp we wanted. We had a hard time finding a hotel in Davenport that didn't have one or more scary reviews. This one had good reviews, and it appears they were well deserved. It's not a luxurious hotel-appearance is definitely a budget friendly property. Low price for a good night's sleep.

This is a pretty new hotel. Everything is great: the room is very comfortable, spacious and clean. Breakfast was very good. Receptionist was very kind and helpful; he recognized me as a gold member, and asked several times if I needed anything. Location is great as well. Next time we visit Davenport we will be staying at this hotel again.

Found bed bugs in the bed and on the nightstand, was TOLD I was smoking in my room which I don't even smoke, and refused a refund for my hundred dollar deposit and the cost of my room. Worst hotel in town.

This was the worst dirtiest hotel I ever stayed at it was filthy bug shells and stains sheets syringe caps in the vents mold in the ice bucket couches I wouldn't even set my things on , it smelled to high heavens it was so horrible no toilet paper had to call for that call for towels and then walk down in my underwear to get towels she wouldn't bring them to us! So lazy had to call on phone when walked in no host no where, tub plugs up and floods everything about that stay ******

I wish I could give this a 0 stars. Just an awful hotel. It is super run down. Just like see those slum lord like hotels in commercials. How this has 3 stars is beyond me. We has issues from the moment we arrived. Of course no one at the front counter. Had to call the the hotel number. Then the electronic card reader wasnt taking my debit card. I called the bank and they told us a charge hadn't even appeared in the system. So our cards were fine. But almost like this wasnt the first time, he just tells us not to worry and give $100 cash deposit. Reluctantly I did. To be honest, I should of just canceled and went to another hotel. We get our 1 key, and when we get to our room, first think we see is blood stains on 1 of the sheets. Then there were no blankets, or pillow covers!. at that second th same clerk knocks on our door and gives us 1 bed sheet and says they are running low. WTH? We attempt to turn on the AC, and the Ac is only shooting out warm air. There is an error code on the screen, which indicates the coolant is low. We call the clerk and he moves us to this other room. the AC works. Once he leaves, we notice the room is in pretty bad shape. Again, no sheets, no pillow cases. I walked back tot he old room, and took what we could to compensate. Then we notice the carpet and all the services are really dusty. The washroom light flickered like a scene out of SAW. the faucet shot water out sideways! Also, it's missing a smoke a alarm! All there was was wires. But at least the mini fridge worked right? We decide to get out of there and go to dinner, then we notice the privacy latch is completely broken off. The lock mechanism is also broken. You have to manually push it in with your fingers so the door can actually close all the way LOL Oh man. We have a really good dinner and headed back to the hotel. Well it took us about 5 minutes to get into the room because our card wouldn't read at the door. We had to finesse it a certain way for the reader to finally catch the *****. I felt like wishfully hoping for it to work like back when I was a kid hoping my Nintendo would read the game. I wear, I think this was the end of it. We wake up at 7AM to catch the "FREE BREKFRAST." There is hardly anything. They have such a great sitting area but nothing to offer. There was cereal, pancake batter, and a loaf of bread in the fridge. I swear I am not kidding. They had the old trays like they do in some hotels where you get eggs, sausage, bacon, yogurt, etc, but nothing of that sort. It was a damn joke. To add insult to injury, 1 of 2 gallons of milk in the fridge was expired. There was this one lonely kid down there serving himself cereal and we had to tell him about the expired milk. Mind you, the clerk was sitting at the desk, and could give on r@ts @ss about what was happening. We just went back upstairs and packed our stuff. We rented a room with a king bed. The moment we walked up to the hotel it looked tired. After travelling for a month and driving for the day we checked in. The clerk suggested a restaurant close by that was good. When we checked in our room there was a kind size frame with a queen size mattress. The bed had only a fitted sheet, sheet and blanket. We tidied up and went for dinner as we were hungry and thought it’s only for one night. The bathroom had one bath towel, the shower curtain was hanging down and the walls looked like someone was perhaps plastering parts of the wall We went for dinner came back ready to crawl into bed and take off the next morning. The fitted sheet had red x’s left by marker and stains. We slept in our clothes on the top sheet and noticed the next morning that the bottom of the sheet had what looked like bloodstains. The next morning we hightailed it out if there thinking we may have been punked, but no it was reality. We have travelled extensively and thought we may chalk it up to an unpleasant funny story. Then the hotel took a $100 damage deposit, in our month of travelling we had never once been actually charged this fee. This hotel charged us and we had to fight to get it back. Of the thousands of dollars we had given to the Wyndham group they said they gave us 3000 points which is about $25. They could not help us get back our deposit. To top it all off we are Canadian so the deposit that was returned to us cost us about $20 in credit card fees. Honestly, the place is a hot mess. Do not stay there. Ironically we booked the Americainn the night before and it was amazing.
