Langstone Cliff Hotel

Went with line dance group. Had excellent stay very nice rooms lovely food Great to have an indoor pool.staff very helpful nothing to much trouble. Ballroom excellent for our dancing group. Plenty of Free parking with stay. Had a really good time.

Parts of this modern-looking hotel are apparently very old, but this is not obvious until you walk on the very creaky floorboards and joists. Internally the decor is tasteful and quite stately-home, and it is certainly roomy. Our bedroom was large and had a great seaview, a beautifully redecorated bathroom andxwas very comfortable. There is a heated indoir pool and many other leisure facilities. The staff were unfailingly polite and helpful, the breakfasts fresh, filling and delicious, and our hotel evening meal likewise. The hotel is very close to the southwest coastal path and scenic trainline. We used our trip to visit The House of Marbles and Buckfast Abbey, but not the fabulous beach. Too cold in January!

This was our second stay at the Langston Cliff Hotel. We stayed in a double room overlooking the grounds and coastline. There was a balcony, but the weather wasn’t really suitable to sit outside unfortunately. The room was very nice and had clearly been redecorated recently. It was spacious and ample for our needs. The bathroom was clean and tidy with a good shower. The breakfasts were nice, and plentiful. The restaurant staff were helpful and courteous. The only negative things were the choices at dinner and the carvery option which wasn’t actually a carvery and the kitchen service staff were untidy in their appearance behind the counter. We had an afternoon tea on our second day in the lounge which as on our previous stay was a treat and very enjoyable. Thank you to Sarah on reception for arranging things prior to our arrival,it was much appreciated. Overall we really enjoyed our stay here again and will definitely make another return visit.

Visited for an afternoon tea which was okay but spoiled by weak tea and no refill.I have been for many other teas which tea was unlimited.No sign of any waitress to report my concern. Hence,my average comment. Now I am reluctant to try the main menu.

Lovely hotel with excellent staff. Comfortable big lounges and verandah overlooking the gardens and sea. Food was excellent with good choices on the menu it was difficult to choose as everything was so good. Gluten free options available. We stayed in ground floor room with balcony overlooking the grounds. Friendly helpful staff in all areas of the hotel

It was lovely to be back at the Langstone Cliff. The hotel continues to be excellent in all areas, the cleanliness, staff, staff, food all add up to the perfect relaxing break. Unfortunately, the weather was disappointing but gave us time to enjoy some well priced drinks in the lounges! We look forward to our next visit.
