The traffic jam was so heavy that I doubted my life, and the level of chaos reached the highest level. In addition, there may be a big gap between our expectations for five-star hotels and the standards here. Such hotels in China may only be slightly better than B&Bs and government guest houses. Four times we stayed in the great beautiful house of Mr. Lalu and his family, four times we had breakfast and dinner there, in the large dining room next to the kitchen in the evening, on one of the many wonderful terraces in the morning. The food was ke s t l i c h, traditional Indian food, freshly prepared, so ***things from your own garden came to the table. We were very polite and pre-served by the young employees. Our room was huge, there was a clothes room, a large bathroom and a private terrace with wonderful view of the mountains. Mr Lalu was extremely helpful, he organized a taxi from and to the airport and for our excursions, including a trip to a doctor who could make the necessary vaccination. We had a very nice stay in Gorayya Homestay and felt well cared and advised. Thanks to the Lalu family and their employees! Namastée!

Location is good. It’s on the outskirts of dehradun, everything’s about 30-40 mins away. Food is average. Amenities are good, the view from the pool is to die for. It’s so beautiful.
