Very good but strange. The owner was very kind and told us a lot about the island as soon as we came. Then, he left us to our rooms. We were lucky enough to get the entire house to our selves, as there were only 2 beds not 3. The rooms are packed with junk, that you would need a truck to empty everything. I mean junk in a nice way. One of the rooms has the shower in it, while the other one has everything in the bottom floor, which is not convenient, as the staircase is super steep, almost like a ladder. The best thing about the bathroom is that when you turn on the lights birds start singing. The breakfast was excellent, with tons of different choices. If you want a strange adventure, this hotel is for you.

Één nacht in het Spookhuis verbleven met twee volwassenen zoons. Wat we een beetje vreemd vonden is dat we pas om 19.00 uur konden inchecken. Voor ons geen probleem omdat we maar één nacht verbleven maar als je lang verblijft wil je je bagage kwijt. Ontvangst was erg vriendelijk. Bert gaf ons een zeer uitgebreide tips wat we op het eiland konden doen met allerlei boeken en folders en kortingsbonnen. De meeste informatie was niet relevant want we verbleven maar twee dagen op Texel en hadden zelf ook twee activiteiten besproken en vertelde dit ook aan hem Misschien had hij eerst moeten vragen of wij dit allemaal wel wilde horen. En misschien alleen de kortingsbonnen te geven. Alles is schoon en Bert is ook erg vriendelijk. Bedden liggen erg lekker maar zijn wel aan de korte kant als groot bent. Ontbijt wordt geserveerd naast het Spookhuis in het hotel De Loodsman en is goed. Als je voor de rust komt dan is dit echt een aanrader. Wil in de avond nog wat willen drinken is De Toegift een aanrader.

Een heerlijke B&B en deze is van alle gemakken voorzien voor een uitstekend verblijf. Gastheer Bert is heel goed in staat onervaren Texelgangers te voorzien van tips en adviezen om het eiland in korte tijd goed te leren kennen. Deze ervaren horecaman weet perfect hoe je kan helpen fantastische herinneringen aan dit eiland te creëren!
