Denton County Hotels with Wi-Fi

Upon arrival, the welcome was genuine. It didn't give you that uppity, too posh feeling. The valet was pricey but much better than self parking. We were greeted with a glass if champagne upon checkin. Checkin was smooth with no waiting. Our balcony room was nice and clean. It was a bit of a walk. The hotel itself is a lot bigger than it appears to be from the outside. The ballroom and conference rooms are spacious and equipped. Love the fireplaces throughout facility. The pools are beautifully done especially one being at 85 degrees in the winter time. It was sunny and cold but families were enjoying the heated pool. The lobby bar, the restaurants and the fire pits give you that scenic, rustic, resorty style all while being right there on Frisco, TX. Can't wait to return in the spring/summer.

The Marriott Dallas/Fort Worth Westlake entire staff treated me with the courtesy and attention you expect from a fine hotel. The service was excellent, and the atmosphere was friendly with all members of staff making me always feel very welcome. My overnight stay was on Wednesday September 25, 2024 and my room was located on the first floor. I was laying in bed about to go to sleep and I felt bugs/roaches crawling on my head. When I got up and turned on the light I saw them on the bed as well. I addressed this with the front desk and lady was nice and apologetic and switched me to a different room on the 4th floor. I noticed trash bags and dirty linens on that floor outside of rooms on that floor which confirmed that this hotel is dirty all of the time. I took photos of these bugs and of the dirty 4th floor hallway. I reported this to the manager and the front desk in the morning. The attitude of the lady at the front desk was a little unsettling. The manager, Joshua Castle, asked to comp my room but I said no. He offered to comp me some Hilton Honors Points and I agreed, he offered me 15,000 points for a one night stay. I was insulted by this offer as I know for a fact that this hotel goes for 50,000 points a night as I had considered coming back to stay at this hotel at another time. He asked me what I wanted and I asked him to do what he felt was right. The fact that his offer was only 15,000 showed me that he didn't care about my experience. 15,000 is virtually nothing in regards to an overnight stay. I told Joshua not to give me the points either. Also, Joshua Castle, the manager kept making a comment about it being weird that there were bugs crawling all over the bed because that wasn't normal behavior. He must be a bug expert or may have been insinuating something but I found that to be offensive. I am Diamond with Hilton and I will end this year at or a little over 100 overnight stays at Hilton hotels and this brand will never be one that I stay at again. I have also advised our travel department of my experience and ask that they remove this hotel from our travel booking site. I also had throw to throw away my suitcase from this week to make sure bugs didn't come home with me. What a disaster! I called the Hilton Diamond desk and they were not much help. See photos for proof. I wish that I could give this hotel a negative star rating!

This was the nicest hotel we have stayed at in a long time. Normally we are fooled by pictures and reviews. This hotel was the best by far.

I booked a room through a Travelocity at Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Dallas Plano/The Colony on Saturday May 18, 2024. When I arrived at the hotel, I checked in with the front desk rep Jennifer. I said to her “every time I check into a hotel my room is always by the elevator”. Jennifer stated yeah that is because you booked with a third party and we do not like third parties. I looked up at her and said I do not always use a third party to book my hotel rooms. Can you please make sure I am not next to the elevator. Jennifer stated your room is not next to the elevator and if it is come back down to the front desk and I will move you. I was in a rush to get to my family and friends so I did not have time to go back and forth with Jennifer and the way she was talking to me as if because I am getting the room and a cheaper rate I should accept whatever room I get. When I got off the elevator, I immediately notice my room was in fact next to the elevator. Again I was too busy and didn’t want to be labeled as the angry black woman that booked on a third party app, because I can’t afford the rate without going through a third party. The next day when I checked out of the room, I explained to Alisha at the front desk what happen. She apologized for Jennifer’s behavior. Alisha stated that it should not matter how the guest booked their rooms. If we request not to be put in a room they can look in the computer to ensure that they are not in a room near the elevator or etc. if the rooms are available. I always stay at a Marriott hotel branch but after this experience. I need to look in to other options if I am going to be treated a certain way if I book through a third party. It should not be offered if the guest are going to be treated different. I hope that I do not have to deal with this ever again and if that is the true case. Marriott should look into other options to book their rooms to the public.

Wish I could’ve gotten a first or second floor room. I don’t use elevators. I got a third floor room it was okay. I really appreciate the front desk people. They are very helpful

A little better than other hotels is check out at 12 o'clock, the room is clean and quiet. No smell, breakfast is rich and special yogurt. The location is good, the parking space is sufficient, and the front desk service is very good. Praise.

We have tried a lot of hotels in Denton, and this is by far the best. It is located by BJ's, Chuys, and Beth Marie's Ice Cream. It is near a park if you have children and just want them to get some outside time to play. It is next to the Cinemark theater as well, and just around the corner from Buc-ees! The staff was friendly and the rooms were well-appointed and very clean. The pillows are super fluffy! Also, they had FULL bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the showers instead of the little bottles. check-in and out was seamless. We will make this our permanent hotel in Denton whenever we go back.
