Best place to watch the sunrise over Meili Snow Mountain. Attentive staff with a beautiful room, with an awesomw view. There is a stairway that leads to the Feilaisi viewing platform. If you are travelling with an elderly like me, good to check out which rooms to avoid stairs. We were lucky to be upgraded to the suite, which came with a beautiful view. However, there was a flight of stairs. The lobby staff can buggy you up, then you can. climb down instead of up the stairs. A premier location which costs much more. If you just need a simple clean place to stay, in order to catch the sunrise, there are many more affordable choices just next to this hotel.

The owner was very friendly and provided free trekking poles and crampons for us to borrow. After the hike, we warmly invited you to sit by the fire and drink ginger tea. The room was in a good location, facing the Goddess Peak. Unfortunately, it was snowing and foggy when I went there, so I couldn't see the Golden Mountain in the sun.

The room is not big, but it has an unbeatable view of the Meili Snow Mountain. Next to it is the fourth-floor terrace, which is very convenient for taking photos. The breakfast is particularly rich, and there is also exquisite afternoon tea. You can use ******* clothes for free, and the waiters will be very considerate to help you put them on. In short, it is a very good choice.

This time, I stayed in Meili and went down the mountain. The experience was really full! Driving from Songtsam Linka to the hotel, we crossed mountains and ridges all the way, and the highest altitude reached 4,000 meters. Fortunately, I prepared the Bestcon oxygen concentrator in advance. Arrived at around 4 pm, and a hot towel was handed to us as soon as we entered the hotel, which warmed our hearts. The front desk supervisor Zhuigaram enthusiastically introduced the hotel to us, and then we went to the 4th floor to enjoy afternoon tea. There were floor-to-ceiling windows on both sides, and we could see the magnificent scenery of the 13 peaks of Meili. This experience was amazing! When we left, Zhuoma Laci saw us off and thoughtfully prepared a souvenir knot for the children. The little guy was very happy. The knot had a beautiful meaning and added a warmth to this journey. The staff here are simple and kind, and it feels like being blessed by the sacred mountain. Thanks to the gift of nature, I saw the sunset and the sun shining on the golden mountain, and my heart was full of joy. After that, there is a 3-day 2-night Yubeng hiking trip. The young couple who went with me said that the guide who went down the mountain was very professional, which made me look forward to coming back next time. Meili Mountain is really a place you don’t want to leave once you come, and you want to come again after leaving!

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel, which is perfectly situated in town, offering breathtaking views right from our room (for sunset and sunrise see photos). The location alone makes it a fantastic choice for anyone looking to enjoy the natural beauty of the area. The owners were incredibly kind and helpful, making us feel very welcome. The owner even parked our car right in front of the hotel. Even though we don’t speak Chinese, communication was smooth thanks to a translation app. Their hospitality truly stood out, and we appreciated their warm and accommodating attitude. The only downside was that our room was quite cold until the heating started working in the evening. Overall, despite this small issue, we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a scenic and welcoming place to stay in the Meili Snow Mountains!

The most satisfying hotel in the entire Shangri-La trip. I personally think that Meili Shanju is better than Songzan Linka! The hotel public areas and rooms use a lot of wood for decoration, especially the rooms, almost all wooden furniture, very textured, the room lighting is also very warm, at night the whole room is very homely, very comfortable to live in! The deluxe mountain residence king-size bed room booked is very large, it is a small suite with a small living room, a bedroom, and a separate small balcony. The balcony window faces the Meili Snow Mountain, and the view is excellent! The dinner in the hotel's Chinese restaurant is a set meal, and the product of 350 per person is very amazing and cost-effective! Although there are not many varieties of breakfast, the taste of the single items is great, and the handmade noodles and rice noodles taste great! The afternoon tea is a little simple, and all the service staff of the hotel are enthusiastic and professional. When checking in, they will send a pair of handmade cloth shoes for guests to change into, full of ritual! The Arc'teryx store in Meili Shanju also has more styles than the Songzan Linka store!

This hotel offers a great location to view the Meili Snow Mountains during the morning golden peak and also sunset (if you're lucky with the weather conditions). It is right next to the bus stop, which means it is very convenient if you are planning to catch an early morning bus (in our case). Rooms can be a bit pricey, but we know that we are essentially paying for the view. The food at the hotel is also tasty, I didn't need to go and look anywhere else for dinner and breakfast. I appreciated the great help that was provided by a staff named Xiao Wei. We arrived at the hotel when it was raining and wasn't expecting to see any mountain range in sight, but then the sky suddenly cleared up during the evening just shortly before sunset whilst we were having dinner and Xiao Wei came over to tell us to go and have a look at the snow mountain, which made our hearts rushed with joy. We also appreciated when Xiao Wei told us again during night time that the mountain range was visible so we quickly opened the curtain to treat ourselves with another fantastic view. The viewing platform on the top floor is a great location to see the sunrise and golden peak. I personally think it's even better viewing at the Feilai Temple platform that most tourists go to. On a final note, Xiao Wei again was very kind to help us by going to the bus platform at 8.30 AM in the morning to help us purchase the bus tickets from the driver (we couldn't do so as wechat pay didn't work for us). We were very happy with our stay here and got very lucky with some of the best views during our entire Yunnan trip. Thank you very much to Xiao Wei and the staff at Once Upon A Time in Meili :)

Service: The hotel's Xiao Zhaxi service is very good, driving to the entrance of Deqin Tunnel to pick us up and patiently explain to us. The hotel restaurant provides lunch and dinner ordering, the price is reasonable and the taste is good. The breakfast is rich and varied and delicious, and there are afternoon tea snacks at 3:30 in the afternoon. Although I didn't see the Rizhao Jinshan, I was very happy to see the full view of the snow mountain. I will choose here next time I come, and I hope I will be lucky enough to see the Rizhao Jinshan next time.

Songzan Benzilan Hotel sells 1280 yuan/person ”Niding hiking product”, the official said that the hiking + forest lunch is 6 hours long, and it is equipped with a housekeeper and guide. Although Goose, the actual itinerary 1.5 hours (including car, hiking) + lunch 1 hour = 2.5 hours, the actual situation is sauce purple: 🙈 It takes 30 minutes to drive up and down the mountain. During the period, the housekeeper and guide have a variety of happy chats, and the guests are snubbed. 🙈 Get off the bus and start hiking, walk along the forest stream, the guide is in front, far from the guests, walk about 40 minutes, the eyes are open, the end of the hiking is not preventable, as if it is just a step downstairs in the community.... The professional guide has no expertise, and the whole process is zero introduction. I don't know what forest, what river, what mountains, what flora and fauna I have seen; In short, it is 1200+ bought hiking products, and I am lonely 🌚 Comrades who want to buy this product are really insulting to human intelligence! It's not bad for money when I didn't say ha 🤣 Complain to Songzan customer service 🀄️ and see if you can give a satisfactory answer in the future. ❗️❗️ After years of hard operation, Songzan Hotel and Travel Products have firmly sat on the head brand of the middle and high-end market in Tibetan areas. Sure, we have zero tolerance for this kind of insulting IQ products. If Songzan does not give a reasonable solution, we must complain to the Consumers Association to the end!

I checked into Room 207 at the end of September, and this time I checked into Room 307. The layout of the room is exactly the same. Maybe it is near the end of the year. I did not receive a call from the hotel before checking in to ask about the check-in time. The front desk explained that it was because the mobile phone number was hidden when booking through Ctrip, but I booked through Ctrip at the end of September. I can only say that this time the booking is not allowed to be cancelled, and the occupancy rate this time is much higher than that at the end of September (the occupancy rate can be compared in the breakfast room in the morning), so I can't take care of it. There was a problem with the hot water for the shower this time. Even though the hotel had said in advance that it would take some time to get hot water, the hot water was too small and the temperature was not enough. I don't know if it was because of the 3rd floor or the high occupancy rate. The breakfast was not as good as at the end of September. The Western pastries at the end of September surprised me, and the mixed coffee beans tasted very good (I bought a bag of beans to take home). This time was not as good as at the end of September. To be honest, it was a little regrettable.
