We love Hotel Nazionale. We got married in Desenzano in 2013 and stayed here then with our family and friends. We have done repeat visits since, again staying here at the beginning of November for another wonderful stay. We had a beautiful room, which was well appointed, bathroom was lovely, with soft towels, the bed was large & comfortable. Staff here are fantastic, they certainly ensure your stay is the best it can be. Breakfast is the best we have had anywhere! Always a great selection. Again staff at breakfast are a delight. The bar area, pool and lounge are beautifully kept. Town is a short walk downhill, with lots of restaurants, bars & shops. Ferries take you to all the Lakeside towns. Train station is a 15 min walk, where you can easily get a train to Verona, Venice, Milan, giving options for day trips as well as choice of airports. Desenzano & Hotel Nazionale has our hearts. We stayed as a group of four and every one of us loved this hotel Perfect location, excellent staff- especially Mario on front desk and delicious breakfast. Great facilities- all kept spotlessly clean by the friendly chambermaids Could not fault it Location is one short street from the main drag and also close to station for Verona visit Anything you need to know - directions, where to eat etc ask Mario - he very kindly mapped out our Verona visit perfectly Definitely recommend

The hotel was excellent. We had a lovely, spacious room with a good-sized shower room. The hotel was very clean and the decor really good. All the staff were welcoming and friendly throughout our stay. They advised us on travel, events and restaurants. There was plenty of choice at breakfast. Unfortunately we did have some rain during our stay but the hotel had a good supply of umbrellas which they let guests use. The Hotel Nazionale is less than 5 minutes walk from Lake Garda and about 10 minutes walk from the railway station. It is in a great location. I will definitely return.

The hotel is perfectly positioned for immediate access via one small street to the main promenade. The breakfasts are everything you could need - a lovely spread to begin your day with a lovely view out to the pool area - where you can also eat. The staff make this place special- Mario on reception is just simply the best - always cheery , always there to give directions and literally to plan any trip with local knowledge and tios He reserves restaurants and arranges seating for you b dude windows for the view . Deserves every star

The staff was friendly, courteous and efficient. The breakfast each day was fantastic consisting of many extremely tasty options. The hotel is within walking distance of the lake, sights and restaurants. Clean, bright, enjoyable atmosphere.

My wife and I chose this hotel after looking at a number of others and it was a good choice. We wanted a pool and good facilities with good location for both train station and lake front and this hotel fitted perfectly. Better value than many others because it isn't cheap in Desenzano if you want a class hotel with good facilities. Quality breakfast and sizeable bedroom. Friendly staff and great pool area. This was my fifth time of staying in this hotel and, as always, it didn’t disappoint. From the warm welcome upon our arrival to the ample breakfast we couldn’t have enjoyed our stay more. Even on the one rainy day we were able to hunker down in the lounge with a couple of cold drinks and some snacks.

Lovely week at Hotel Nazionale, lovely rooms, good breakfast, and the best part really approachable staff, dealt with any inquiry we had, swiftly and efficiently, would highly recommend this hotel, and also Desenzano del Garda, as a place to go.
