Au Jardin des Colibris Ecolodge&Spa

Those were 15 beautiful and very relaxing days in 'Au Jardin Des Colibirs'. Le Jardin allowed us to go into super-slow mode and just enjoy the fantastic surroundings. Our big thanks go to their superb team, especially to Sandie and Théo. From our first contact by email to our departure they did everything to make us feel at home. Should we return to Guadeloupe, and chances are there, we'll be back with them. Our very special thanks go to Zouzou, the cat. We met her before setting foot in our house for the first time late in the night of our arrival. She made herself our holiday house cat instantly and would stay with us all the way. Day or night, she was always with us and made our stay even more beautiful. Dear team, we're sorry for the cushions of the deckchair. They now look like the home of a cat. We did not like leaving Le Jardin. We have seen many places in the last 20 years of our travels. Le Jardin and their team has a special place in our hearts.

For us just the perfect place to stay in Guadeloupe. The view from Nature Bay and Secret Lodge (we had booked both) is to die for and you are very close to the picturesque village of Deshaies. As usual, the team at the Jardin des Colibris were very helpful and it is always a pleasure to stay there.

We travelled as a family of 5 with 3 teenagers and stayed for 5 nights at Jardin des Colibris in 2 tree houses, Jungle and Nid. It has been absolutely fantastic, we loved the quietness and the immersion in the trees. Every morning we had breakfast with the birds (give them fruits NOT bread, even if they complain). Sandie and the team are super sweet and helpful, always ready to give advice - note they even lend snorkelling stuff if you need some! Cooking in the treehouse was fun and easy, and if you feel lazy, there is an amazing lady in Deshaies center who cooks delicious take away for you. In Deshaies you will also find Le Madras, the bar of Death in Paradise!! Jardin des Colibris was the perfect base for us to visit Basse-Terre, we hope to come back soon!

This is a lovely eco lodge in Guadeloupe. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Theo loaned us some beach towels because we did not pack any. They also let us use their cooler, snorkels, masks and fins for free while we were there. The charming villa was perfect for 2 couples with lovely indoor and outdoor spaces and just next door to the pool. We used the kitchen to make breakfast and some simple meals while we were there. There was lots of hot water for the shower.

Everything was so lovely! This was our first time staying at an eco lodge and this place did not disappoint! We booked the jungle 3 cottage with private pool, outdoor kitchen and outdoor bath/shower. It was very private so clothes were not needed when just lounging around! The entire grounds are beautifully done and falling asleep to all the frogs was fantastic! We watched the birds every morning while having breakfast and dipped in the pool to cool off many times! Yes it’s hot in the jungle but sleeping at night with just a fan was comfortable. I even had to use the real blanket over the sheet at times. We booked massages by the pool and it was pouring rain the whole time with frogs singing in the background. Omg it was heavenly!! Our therapist were both amazing! We had an issue with our car rental(not through the eco lodge), which Arawak co/rentiles would not respond to us about what to do for days. Everyone at the eco front desk was so helpful!! Even gave us an air pump until we could get to the tire shop they recommended to get everything fixed. I only had one month to learn French and of course I was horrible at it but again, every person at the front desk helped us and made dinner reservations and didn’t judge or make us feel bad for not speaking French well or even at all. Really appreciated that as the airport customs people just laugh in your face if you try to pronounce something. Anyway, we are thankful that this was our first eco lodge experience and doubt anywhere else can beat it! I would give 50 stars if I could!! The kitchen was well stocked but don’t leave any food out! My can of peanuts got destroyed. lol The bed was perfect, not too hard or soft. Anytime you start the outdoor showers frogs start to sing! We only saw two hummingbirds but think our cottage was farther back and facing a small view of the town!!! I had no idea we were getting a view! Less hummingbird feeders in this direction but we had plenty of birds to watch! It is maybe a 3 -5 minute drive into town (walking it seemed scary with not much room on sides of street) but we always found a parking spot in the small lot at the start of town. Make your dinner reservations ahead of time, places are closed all on different days and things fill up fast. We liked everyplace they recommended and reserved for us! Stellar customer service!!!! FYI make sure you visit the zoo!!!!

Secret lounge was perfectIt was a great stay, beautifull location and very nice view to Deshaies. The beaches where great and the small town of Deshaies was also great. And the location is next to the Botanical Gardin witch is realy beautifull.
