The Black Swan Inn

Visited here on New Years Eve for a meal and a few drinks, and definitely glad that we did. The food was some of the best that I have tasted, and the staff were excellent, nothing was too much trouble, despite the fact that we had not booked in advance. Prices are very reasonable for both food and drink, and we will certainly be returning and telling others about this little gem.

We went for an evening meal midweek. It did take a while to get drinks and our food order taken but the staff reassured us and explained it was really busy which we were fine with, we could see how hard they were working. The food was incredible, we all had something different on the menu and every single dish was 10/10. The combination of flavours was excellent and the dishes had so much flavour. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be back!

This pub has a lot of character and charm. The food was great with plenty of choice on the menu. I had the BBQ beef sandwich and some sides which were lovely. Service was friendly, would recommend. Devizes was a nice place to wander around too before we went on our onward journey.

It is a lovely old pub with excellent, helpful, courteous staff and a great Chef and menu. We went as a cycling group and they kindly stored our bikes overnight in one of the function rooms. The bedrooms were very comfortable and well-equipped. A great place to stay and eat, with decent ales too!

The staff are young, friendly but very inexperienced. Had no idea how grave undercooked pork could be. My daughter didn't touch hers at all, and I pointed out how pink mine was. There was a brief "I will let the chef know" but no offer of a replacement or a refund. £22 for collar of pork, cheap, fatty and gristly not really suitable roasted and so thin it was impossible to trim it. Totally ruined what turned out to be a very expensive vegetarian meal. I used to eat here once a month. I won't be returning.

Visited the The Black Swan whilst in Devizes for food with some friends. We were made to feel very welcome by the lovely waiting staff and when choosing our meals from the menu were well advised by the knowledgeable staff. The food was excellent and we cannot speak highly enough of it. This is not your normal 'pub grub' establishment and it was so good we booked for Sunday lunch where we had the Sunday roasts....WOW!! Probably the best Sunday roast I've had in years. Beautifully cooked roast beef and roast pork with sensational roast potatoes... the veg was plentiful as well. Cannot speak highly enough about this please ... keep up the great work. Thanks to all the waiting staff especially Ella!!! We'll be back .....
