Porto Marine Hotel

I didn't know anything about this hotel. But it proved to be an excellent selection for spending 3 nights at Platamon. Excellent location, over the marina, away of the crowded central road of the town. Excellent amenities, as well as service. The last night we dinned at the veranda of the room, overlooking the marina, ordering from the restaurant at the ground floor of the hotel, where a very good breakfast ”gourmet style” was served every day. The service was very good and quick and, while it was written on the menu that there is a surcharge of 10% (or 15%) on the bill for serving at the room, they didn't charge! It is not a 5 stars hotel, but it looks like! I will definitely go again to this hotel next time I will be in the area.

Olympian Bay Grand Resort

Polite, grateful and helpful staff. The central pool was cloudy. The tile is not visible. Nothing is visible. 1st time I see a cloudy pool. Of course we didn't take a bath. On arrival, which was at 2 in the afternoon, there were no sunbeds, neither on the beach nor in the pool area. Everyone leaves their towels in the morning and ties them up all day. Indeed, the problem is in sufficiency. In the room, the couch was dirty...there were obvious stains. On the wall, you say it's probably mosquito blood. The breakfast was very good, since there were varieties and some of the things we tried were delicious I will say again about the personal, that it was very good, friendly and pleasant! .

The hotel left us with an average impression. We expected more and wouldn't come back. Food: it's okay, just okay, suitable for a three-star hotel. Missing: fruit yogurts, hot milk, chocolate milk, tastier juices, more fruits for breakfast; more delicious soup or potage, or at least more than one type of soup; children's menu - everything is too spicy. Hygiene: the bed linen and towels are clean, there is enough soap, shampoo and bath in the bathroom, but floors are not cleaned every day, which is very necessary considering the sand we bring in from outside; as well they do not scrub the bathroom during the stay, they only clean the tiles minimally. Air conditioning: weak, it is still very hot in the rooms considering that it is over 35 degrees outside. Beach: below average. There is a lot of grass, no one cleans it. The sunbeds are 10m from the sea and that part is in the sand. But, from the first row of sunbeds to the entrance to the sea is stone/sand/gravel and a bunch of grass. All this spoils the impression very much. Additionally, there are between 120 and 126 sunbeds, and the hotel has over 500 guests at the moment!! Pools: one pool is for adults only and it is mostly empty and the cleanest, the second is okay (we usually were on this one), the third is the biggest but also the dirtiest. Entertainment for children: this made the best impression on us because the girls who work in the playroom are wonderful and our children were very happy. To be honest, this park is also far from any average for a 5 star hotel. The toys and equipment are old, there are no animations for children... but the girls Heidi and Katarina did their best to make it nice and interesting for our children, there are no words to thank them!! Conclusion: the hotel is worth at most 3 stars. It has a good advertisement and everything in the pictures is far more ideal than in person.
