I can't say enough great things about the hotel and staff. They were amazing from check in until check out. If you are around Quito at least stay here 1 night.

Such a beautiful and unique property and everybody was so lovely. I wish more people would have the chance to stay here. It was fairly empty…. We had a two-story room with a wood-burning fireplace downstairs. I have never stayed somewhere with that sort of amenity.!

This place is amazing for a quiet and restful stay, also if you want to have a romantic time. Food at the restaurant is really good, although little expensive, otherwise I would do this as my weekend place to lunch or dinner. For sure a recommended place to stay if you want to be close to the city key touristic points, or if you will go up to Pichincha summit

This is an all-around excellent place to stay! The people working here were kind and helpful with every little detail. The rooms had unique, gorgeous decor and were very clean. I ate here for breakfast, lunch, dinner and dessert multiple times and was so impressed by the excellent service and delicious food (I highly recommend the Shrimp Rumiloma dish). Thank you, Hacienda Rumiloma, I hope to return!

Failed to show up for airport transfer to property. We got a taxi that got lost then was unable to climb the mountain due to their road conditions. We had to climb the mountain by foot to attempt to check in but the staff had already left for the evening and failed to respond when we continued to ask for assistance. Our flight arrived at midnight and at 2am my family was still not sure where we would be staying the next 3 days/nights.
Taxi driver was awesome and found us a safe place to rest for the remainder of the morning until we could find accommodations.

This is indeed a hotel , hacienda, different from others We arrived after a flight from Europe and a long taxi drive through the busy Quito traffic Hotel is located high outside the city in a green surrounding , upon the hills. Remote and silence please, beware you need a taxi for every destination It offers great views of Quito, especially at night Friendly welcome , motivated staff Rooms are indeed special, not one room is the same, lots of details Don’t expect the standards from a major upscale hotel, no this place is different It really has style and personality Yes, you can argue about storage room, shower or bath etc, but than you better do not stay here! We had a fireplace, since there is not central heating and up on the hill it can get chilly and humid, but the fireplace gave us perfect temperature and it felt cosy Great stay for one night .

Love this place one of my favorite places in the world to stay. Extremely unique. Every room is different. The view of the city at nighttime is beautiful. The family who built the hacienda did an outstanding job. Highly recommend

Did not live up to the reviews on TripAdvisor and I'm not sure what I'm more disappointed in - the hotel or the inaccurate reviews on Trip Advisor. This place is unique for sure but it has been allowed to get quite shabby and run down. We understand from locals that 15 or 20 years ago it was quite a popular spot but it's obviously been let go since that time. There was garbage and junk on the trails, furniture was dirty with holes in the furniture walkways were slippery and poorly or not lit at all. The staff were exceedingly pleasant but had no idea what they were doing. Some meals were inedible and we did not have one meal that was correct (ie dessert brought instead of appetiser, double orders of things we ordered one of, or the reverse etc etc). Also to get there you must travel through a very unsafe neighbourhood and it is not well known - we prepaid for a transfer to the hotel and the driver was nervous and lost. Not fun. contrary to their information this is not in walking distance of anywhere except a very unsafe neighbourhood. Despite all of the above this place has huge potential and with improved oversight and some maintenance it could be a 4 star stay.
