The location is perfect as it is located ***** the Ganges River! You can see the Ganges River from the attached restaurant, and the food there was delicious! However, since it is located ***** the Ganges River, you cannot reach the hotel by rickshaw or taxi, so you will have to walk for a few minutes, but the journey is also exciting! The problem was that there were a lot of small insects like mosquitoes (?) in the room, but I was given an insect repellent machine at the reception.

If you want to experience the bank of the Ganges from a veranda overlooking the river, this is the place to watch, and eat and drink from. Steps straight down to the bank and you are a stroll from the most interesting ghats and temples. The hotel is not easy to find and you will need a porter to help if your bags are heavy. Hotel staff are very helpful and friendly. The food served in the restaurant is excellent value and very good. Note that the restaurant is separate from the hotel and if you are booked for bed and breakfast you still pay for breakfast. It's difficult spend very much so not to worry. The rooms are quite small and the bathroom also, but they are clean and comfortable. Note you have to ask for toilet paper, and the concept of coat hangers is alien. However, this is a three star hotel and we could find nothing to complain about.

Average stay, according to price it is overrated, they gave me premium room with common terrace instead of room with private balcony, approach road is also very dirty

The property is registered as 3-star hotel but there are few rooms with no washroom attached. We have stayed in one of them. The common toilets were not cleaned regularly. The price for the hotel on mm t is way expensive than the actual price of the hotel alka if someone book the same room over there. Still cleanliness was my main concern. The location is nice. The vishwanath temple is within 500m from hotel alka. Food taste is also nice.

No room service, no drinking water, and sometimes there was no water supply to the washroom. Room was small no window, filthy. It is not worth paying so much for the rooms provided by alka hotel, varanasi

Although you have to walk a lot fem main chowk to get here but thia is on ghat and close to vishwanath temple and amid-st the old varanasi. So its absolutely perfect. Tge customer service was awesome as well and the hotel has awes-trucking balcony to view ganga river anytime all the time. The staff were always ready to assist you cheerfully.
