Immediately upon arrival you see that this is a special hotel. An old industrial harbour building has been converted into a hotel. The rooms are simple and not large. This also applies to the bathroom. Each room has a balcony with a view of the harbour and the Elbe. Excellent bed. We had half board and in the nice restaurant in the shape of a harbour with a ship we had a delicious meal. Breakfast was on the top floor in the Panorama Restaurant with a beautiful view of the river landscape. Breakfast was not super extensive but sufficient. There is not much to do in Dömitz itself, but during our walk we came across many things that remind us of the Iron Curtain and the suffering that took place there. The Elbe Railway Bridge is a silent witness. The GDR blew it up to prevent people from going to the free West, in the former West Germany the bridge still stands as a monument. We only stayed one night, but this hotel is definitely recommended. Also for cycling and walking.

We spent 3 nights here including half board. The hotel is in a very quiet location. The room was very clean, the bed was fine and the food was plentiful, varied and very tasty. All of the staff were very friendly, always helpful and fulfilled all of our wishes.

Great hotel, great location and great staff! We were late for check-in and were called in the car and asked what we wanted for dinner. When we arrived, the food was on the table in 2 minutes - wonderful. Junior suite with bathtub and view of the Elbe, totally chill.

We have stayed at this hotel several times and always find the friendly staff pleasant and uncomplicated. The rooms are visually very pleasant and the hotel has a lovely outdoor area with a small pool. The location right on the small harbor is very nice. The food is good value for money and the breakfast is a great way to start the day.

Never again this hotel Due to a lack of staff guests are expected to understand EVERYTHING, which is a bit much to ask, there are simply too many things that are not right/not available/cannot be used in the hotel. On the first evening, a Friday with an outside temperature of 32 degrees, we had to experience conditions like at Ballermann. People were partying at an extremely loud level until well after midnight. Next door was a family with a child where the father was drunk and yelling at us and then apparently caused a disturbance in the room at night. I was really scared because the balconies are only visually separated by a thick rope and he kept going out on the balcony late at night and behaving badly. Reception could not tell me anything other than that I should complain on Monday. Everywhere was very dirty, especially the shower in the very small bathroom!! The white lounge furniture in the beach area was covered in excrement, nothing had been cleaned, the pool was also very dirty and the whole, otherwise beautiful "beach" landscape that was created there, unfortunately seemed very neglected. Many attractions could not be used, but the full price was charged. The person in charge responded to my descriptions by saying that I should give my email address (which is of course known from my booking) and contact her again from August 1st, as she is now going on vacation. Very customer-friendly!!! I also wrote to the hotel chain in question, but so far no response!! I was in the hotel from July 14th to 16th.
