I have just returned from a 5 day visit to The Casterbridge, and loved everything about it - my room , the eloquent decor and furnishing, and the wonderful breakfast, which was prepared and presented so beautifully, Nothing was too much trouble for the ever resourceful Tony, who dealt with any special requests politely, promptly and efficiently. This was my first visit, but definitely not my last - in fact, I've just booked a return visit for a couple of months time.

Nice welcome from Tony. The photo of the large building is NOT the Casterbridge. Bit misleading. The property is on a main road. It’s is clean but shabby and things just don’t work properly. Parking is about 100 yds away as the crow flies so not very convenient. Getting into and out of the property is difficult with a lock that is a faff to open and close. The room was comfortable but as it’s on a main road we couldn’t have the window open because of the road noise. The shower head needs either cleaning or replacing as there’s a dribble not a shower. The wall mounted hair dryer barely works so bring your own. Disappointed as we like to not use chains but it’ll be the Premier Inn next time,

A lovely atmosphere, beautifully presented, friendly, helpful staff, comfy bed and a lovely breakfast! Everything I needed. I got good help from the staff when trying to get a local taxi and when trying to find a good restaurant for dinner. Also, they were very knowledgeable concerning Dorchester's plethora of museums.

The Castle Bridge B&B staff and luxury amenities, along with its unique architecture, make every stay truly enjoyable. clean and comfy, as well the mattress, it gave us the best rest. It is close to town centre and easy access everything 👍 And mainly the breakfast 👌😃😃😃

Beautiful place with amazing hospitality and lovely host. Had a fantastic time. Great breakfast too. Highly recommend. Easy access all local attractions and lovely walks . Very clean, bigger rooms and access to all the facilities. Very reasonable price too.

Small, classy georgian guest house. The owner - Norani, was fun and shared great info about the local area. The room was very clean and beds really comfortable. Breakfast excellent with plenty of choice. Most other guests were walkers. Will return soon.

Terrible rooms half the facilities listed are not in room! Host has a disgusting argumentative attitude when asking for basic things, even threatened my partner! Breakfast was cold when eventually served even though was only 2 people waiting! Would pick a tent over this place! Do not stay!

Booked as a surprise for my birthday - facilities average for the price as no parking and breakfast is very basic using cheap ingredients. However, overall there is an unpleasant atmosphere so wouldn’t recommend anyone to stay here. The best part of the stay was checking out..
