I wasn't sure about stopping in a hostel but was pleasantly surprised. The approach to the hostel is very industrial and there is limited parking but you can park on the grass verge easily by the road. once inside the reception is at the bar and you can see the spacious garden with a river running past. Bar snacks are available if you do not fancy anything heavier .Breakfast and dinner are in the form of a buffet. The rooms are quite spacious but as its a hostel there is no TV or drink making facilities. Shower and toilet in the room are separate. There are plenty of walking/ cycling routes and a short walk takes you to the water bus and the Beaver wood visitor center .From the hostel you can hire Kayaks and a guide if you wish and go out to try and spot a beaver in the wild. ( we were lucky) but they offer no guarantees .Bike hire is available as is free internet. we found it very relaxed, with friendly helpful staff, descent food and a beer garden with a view. You do need your own transport to get here and there are lots of cyclists who set off very early who can make quite a lot of noise outside your window.

We stayed for two nights in one of the lodges. Great hostel with access to the canal, we paddle boarded and kayaked around the loop, you can hire kayaks on site. Easy to cycle into town for the shops and restaurants.

Very warm welcome and meal. Well located, easy to access. Pleasant setting. Do not speak French. Unfortunately a noisy hotel, the slightest noise in the corridor is reflected in your room. We are in the same period as a sports team and it is not easy to sleep.

Fantastic stay in a Wikkelhouse. Very beautiful and eco-friendly. Equipment is top notch with very good beds, towels, shower gel, kitchen towels and nespresso machine incl cups. Amazing experience. And from the location there is plenty to walk and canoe

I had a great time here!! The location is very nice! Very nice walking, canoeing! We had great weather. Staff very friendly, room completely ok! There is a very nice atmosphere.. I hope to come back here again!

A very nicely located Stayokay. Nice rooms, clean, friendly staff and a good breakfast. You can make a nice trip with a whisper boat nearby. By way of exception, our dog was also allowed to join us. It would be nice if that could be done more often.

Vriendelijke ontvangst, maar éénmaal op de kamer bleek de afzuiging een gigantische herrie te maken en de kamer was helemaal niet proper (vloer was echt vies, in de doos zakdoekjes die er stonden zaten gebruikte exemplaren, het vuilnisbakje in het toilet was niet leeggemaakt ...). Aan de receptie werd ons verteld dat de afzuiging na 21u stiller zou worden ... maar dat was helaas niet zo. Receptionist was wel heel behulpzaam en er werd ons wel nog een andere kamer aangeboden maar om 21u30 nog verhuizen, bedden opnieuw opmaken ... zagen we zelf niet meer zitten.
