Travelodge Dorking

Arriving late there were system issues, I was allocated a room already occupied but this was corrected , then the wifi (extra charge paid) did not allow my second device.. Noise from outside. Altogether a poor experience.

Low-priced and spacious rooms, especially when you book far in advance. Always a great service from Shaun on reception.

I left the do not disturb on my door when I went out as if left my passport and laptop in the room. I didn’t want anyone going in. Housekeeping ignored this and took my towel. They left a fresh one outside on the windowsill for some reason. Really let down.

Scenic location at bottom of Surrey Hills Hotel and 15'mins walk to Dorking High street. The reception supervisor Shawn was incredibly polite, courteous, warm and hospitable. He made the check-in process smooth, fast and professional with advice and pointers as to where to eat and visit in my 3 day trip to Surrey and London. I requested extra towels and a UK-mobile adapter and he diligently checked in the back and retrieved a plug. The bedroom was medium sized, comfortable and warm and good hot flowing water in shower. I will recommend to my friends and family intending to come over from Spain in the Xmas holiday period.

It’s really not worth it for the money. My room was very basic, whilst the bed was comfortable, everything else was very tired.
