Popular Dornbirn 4-star Hotels

We spent two nights here recently and fell in love with this property. We chose it because it is just a 30-minute drive to Vaduz, Liechtenstein, which we were in the area to explore. We were lucky enough to be upgraded to a room with a balcony and a view. This was the biggest hotel balcony I've ever seen! It was a beautiful room. We ate dinner in the restaurant one night and found the food to be delicious. The portions were large enough that my husband and I wished that we had ordered one entree to share. The staff was friendly and helpful. We walked all around the property to see the spa, pool, meeting area, sauna and more. The bathroom in our room was huge and the shower was terrific after a long day out. It was just a beautiful property, and we would gladly stay here again any time. It was a peaceful two-night stay. Stayed 4 nights over Christmas at this Hotel. Staff were excellent as was the whole experience.On Christmas Day they organised a wonderful Christmas dinner with entertainment as part of the package. Whoever was responsible for the cleaning of our room was to be commended , can't go into detail here but it was somebody with a wonderful sense of humour..

The positives first! Nice welcome when we arrived. The room was large and even had a walk in closet. I haven't seen that very often in a hotel! Otherwise, a somewhat boring breakfast, and a strange sound coming from the sink made it a little difficult to sleep. We arrived late and left early, otherwise we would have complained and asked for a different room, but we told the reception when we checked out. Clean and nice hotel, but not quite our style.

We spent 2 weeks doing an Alps tour. We didn't really have any plans in Dornbirn, we just needed a place to crash for the night before heading into Switzerland. We were pleasantly surprised at how nice the Sonne1806 Hotel was! We were upgraded to a suite, which was well appointed, and we enjoyed hanging out in the top-floor lounge. The breakfast was better than any other we experienced at a hotel during our trip, with a wide variety of delicious foods. Parking was free and plentiful. I'd highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the Dornbirn area.

The hotel has modern, well furnished rooms and very comfortable beds. My room had a very spacious terrace, with a beautiful view and a comfortable bed. Beautiful shower! Breakfast is spacious with every good of God, salty and sweet: really the best that can be as variety as as quantity and quality. I'd like to try dinner. The fridge bar is a little too expensive.

There is a supermarket next to it. Very convenient. Pay attention to the time. Closed in 1930, convenient parking. The front desk service is enthusiastic and the breakfast is very good. There are also Chinese restaurants nearby

A good hotel in a small city, but nothing in the room. Almost all the stores were closed on Sunday night. Eating and drinking is a problem. In the renovation and expansion, it was a little noisy in the morning. Good value for money, good breakfast

Hotel Bischof is located in the center of Dornbirn, only a 5-minute drive away from the exhibition center Messe Dornbirn, the shopping center Messepark Dornbirn and the main train station. Private parking is available free of charge.The spa area includes 2 saunas, a herbal sauna, a steam bath, a relaxation area and a spacious terrace offering panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. The fitness room features a treadmill and a bicycle.Hotel Bischof offers a continental buffet breakfast. Additionally guests can enjoy dishes from the on-site italian restaurant Pizzeria Ristorante San Remo.The Karren cable car can be reached by car within 5 minutes. The Casino Bregenz, the Seebühne of the Bregenzer Festspiele and Lake Bodensee are only a 20-minute drive away.

We stayed in the hotel for 4 nights in June 2023 to vacation on Lake Constance. Lake Constance can be reached from the hotel in 15 minutes by car. Dornbirn city center is within walking distance. Dornbirn train station is right next door, but that's not a problem. We liked the hotel overall, but it also has some weak points. You can tell that the hotel is very new, everything is very modern and we liked the style. The room was clean, but one day our room cleaning was completely forgotten. We could only change the towels at reception in the evening. But the room was no longer cleaned. We have never experienced this in any other 4-star hotel and it shouldn't happen. Care products such as conditioner and especially tea and coffee were never refilled by the cleaning staff. Unfortunately, we couldn't drink coffee or tea on the last few days and the kettle was therefore useless if you don't have any products for it anymore. Unfortunately, there is no blackout curtain on the window. The curtain was white and did not darken the room. So it was bright as day in the room at 5 a.m. Not so nice if you actually want to sleep in on vacation, and of course that's difficult in a brightly lit room where the sun is shining. Otherwise you would have had a really wonderful night's sleep, as the beds were very comfortable and it was always very quiet. Unfortunately, there is no table in the room. If you want to write something on your tablet or laptop, the only option is the bed. This also means there are no shelves. There is enough cupboard space for clothes, but for everything else you have on a table (tablet, laptop, cell phone, keyboard, etc.) the only option is the floor. The WiFi is extremely fast and worked perfectly. We really liked the wellness area, it was always very quiet and clean. Unfortunately, there are no towels available in the wellness area, so you only have your bathrobe and a single towel for the sauna for the entire stay. It is therefore impossible to shower in the sauna area with a fresh towel, also because there is no shower gel or shampoo in the sauna showers. This should be a given in a 4-star hotel and we know it from other hotels. The hotel promotes sustainability, but unfortunately there are only disposable plastic cups in the rooms and in the wellness area. This is not appropriate for a 4-star hotel and is particularly not sustainable and should be urgently reconsidered. The staff were very friendly throughout, especially the staff at reception and in the restaurant. We mostly ate dinner in the hotel. The menu is very varied and the food was always very good.
