The room had recently been painted, the smell of paint was pungent, parking good. The pool and facilities were not available with our booking, this was not clear and disappointed we could not use the pool unless paid as an off the street person. We declined to pay and spent time on the beach instead. Breakfast was paid for separately as well, a good choice of foods and good coffee. The breakfast dining room had a stunning view of Doureneze bay with a sailboat race for entertainment. On the whole a nice place but the rooms in the *** block across from the mail hotel are a bit to be desired, pay the extra and stay in the main hotel****.

This review only focuses on the restaurant as we did not use the hotel itself. We had dinner there on Saturday, and the only good point was the efficient and fast service. Meal names on the menu were complicated and intended to be sophisticated but what we got in the plates looked more like defrozen and canned food coming from the industry. For instance the main meal came with (obiously) defrozen broccolies and mushrooms (and also a hardly baked half-potatoe) while the "kouign aman" cake (a local specialty) for dessert was dried and had obviously either been prepared ages ago or hastily defrozen. We guess the restaurant relies heavily on processed food. It has too many meals on its menus to really prepare them on demand. We suspect the extensive use of canend and frozen food, except perhaps for people being on a half board plan? For the price paid, much better is available in quaint local restaurants.

So we returned for perhaps our 4th stay, still satisfied with the hotel and staff. This time we decided to go for a suite with seperate lounge area and balcony. This was great as it is nice to sit in your bedroom and relax without having to rest on the bed. We did have one issue with the bedroom this time time, believe it or not the bed was to big!!!! Not for us but for the room we both felt that it was a squeeze in the room,I had to practically fight with the curtains to get in and out of bed.The room number by the way is 217,and other suites are available. Also if staying for a short period and you want to take advantage of the spa ask first to make sure all the facilities are open we found that the sauna was closed which made the steam room a bit crowded at times. Overall we will go back.

Although the hotel was not to bad overall ( it is classed as 3 star), i have come to expect a little bit more. For me it is the small things that make the difference. 1 _ no tea/coffee making facilities in the room ,you can ask but why should you? 2 _ the breakfast was expensive for the quality provided ( only hot food sausages ,scrambled egg). 3 _ no little bathroom toiletries. The access to the spa next door was by under ground passage so you have to make sure too take flip flops( also you need a bathing cap ).

Positive: enjoy sea water even in winter Negatives: massages are not "wow" it's not a complete relaxation at all, rooms are very bright to be able to sleep and relax; the music which is centralized, is very loud, i get massage and they don't even put cover the body part which are not being massage, seems that they are really cost cutting, very cold. Restaurant, is not a class.
