Probably my favourite restaurant in town as a prior local born and raised. Some of my favs are the lodge lemonade, chicken wings, prime rib and chicken kiev. This place is probably the only spot for somewhat “fine dining” in town. Would take this place over b & bs any day of the week.

I stayed in the deluxe suite for three nights. I had dinner in their dining room on a Saturday night. The room was really nice. Lots of room, lots of windows with a view of the river. The interior of the room was all log walls with a big stone fireplace. The bedroom and bathroom was large. And the dinner… it was fantastic. I had a steak with roasted potatoes and a greek salad. And peanut butter cheesecake for dessert. If I’m ever in Dryden again, I will certainly be staying there again

Good location with a great community bar/restaurant attached. Big, big rooms and a good breakfast in a bag to go. Beats the big chains on the highway and better than the motels that aren’t always open this time of year. Good overnight spot……..

We stayed at this location as a change from the hotel scene as we travelled across Canada on a driving trip. The staff were friendly and helpful. Although it was just my wife & I travelling we had a very large room with two queen beds. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The bathroom was also fine except the shower. The shower head was one of those “misting” type that is used for water conservation. We don’t know if there is an issue with water here, but it sure starts your day off wrong when you cant have a decent shower. We had dinner at the restaurant in the fine dining section, and the food was delicious. A number of wait staff were helping - which we attributed to “training” new staff for the busy season. There was no free breakfast and both sections of the restaurant were closed - nit sure if it was too early in the season, but a point to take in or check as it does state it is available online.

The hotel is certainly unique with lots of character but felt the room was overpriced for the quality of the room. The heater took all night to warm up, the shower ran hot and cold, the original windows did not completely close. There was no complimentary breakfast as advertised. On the plus side it was very clean, the room was very open and roomy with a comfortable bed, a desk, and a couch. There was both a shower and a jet tub. We did enjoy a walk along the river just behind the hotel.

This hotel was such a pleasant surprise. The staff was very helpful and friendly, the restaurant was good, and the rooms are very spacious and cozy. We would definitely stay here again if we were in the area.

We found ourselves stranded in Dryden From the moment we spoke with the front desk they were nothing but friendly and accommodating. Service from all aspects were above and beyond. On a dreary day, we even had tea brought to us Highly recommend!
