Grand Mercure Dubai City

Good Location, Overall Recommended although some improvements needed in room maintenance and service

Was a brilliant stay at grand mercure dubai, it very close to the downtown. Good service, good amenities, cleanliness, with affordable prices. The breakfast was good too. I enjoyed my stay.

Bed so bad smell

In my experience, the hotel appeared to be very busy during my stay, and I felt that the staffing levels may not have been sufficient for the number of guests. The room was smaller than I expected, particularly the bathroom, and the amenities were limited. I also experienced repeated issues with the room key cards becoming deactivated, which required several trips to reception. In addition, the room lights repeatedly switched off on their own during our stay, which was inconvenient and affected our comfort. The cleanliness of the room and bathroom did not meet my expectations, and there were odors present that I found unpleasant during my stay. At breakfast, a staff member cleaned and sprayed part of our table while food was still on it, which made the dining experience uncomfortable for us. Some interactions with staff felt less welcoming than I would have preferred. The pool area also did not meet my expectations in terms of cleanliness and overall supervision during my visit. Overall, the experience was disappointing for my family, and based on our stay, I would not personally choose to return.

lovely stay. great rooms, great pool, and great staff. checking is soooo hectic though and takes time. breakfast was below expectations though to be honest.

This was a mixed bag. There were good things and there were things that could've been better. On the good side were the staff downstairs. Maria kindly gave me late check out and Genelyn was a lot of fun. She organized a driver for me to look around Dubai. The room size was good and the pillows allowed for a comfortable sleep. On the other hand, my room looked a little unclean. There was water on the carpet. I only found out after standing on it and getting wet socks. Parts of the room looked a little old and used. All in all though I believe that I got value for money.
