Radisson Beach Resort Palm Jumeirah

In another review, I wrote about the terrible service at this hotel. The male manager and his assistant were rude and ignored us. Even other staff members, witnessing such treatment, were surprised and apologized to us on their behalf. We also previously saw them refuse entry to a woman coming from the beach. Sometimes, the attitude of just one employee can change your entire perception of a hotel. Now, I have absolutely no desire to book rooms with this hotel chain.

Absolutely terrible service from the senior manager at the hotel. He refused to accept a deposit by card, and we only had foreign currency in cash. This manager came out, was rude, and told everyone not to serve us!!! So, we had paid for the room, shown that we had foreign currency (which should not be a reason to deny access), and this manager told them not to let us into our rooms!!! In the end, we sat for 5 hours trying to resolve the issue. It was only at 8 PM, after this manager had left, that we were able to get our deposit accepted in foreign currency. The next day, this manager saw us, smiled, and said he had 'softened' and decided to let us in. This is disgusting, and we are outraged by such treatment. I immediately filed a complaint with Radisson directly. The reception refused to provide us with a complaint book, and this manager refused to give his name.

The hotel itself is small, and the rooms aren't very comfortable. The toilet is so tiny it's hard to close the door, and the shower is about the same size. For breakfast, the food lacked variety, there were no fruits, and the scrambled eggs were consistently overcooked. The pool on the 2nd floor is excellent – the water is at the perfect temperature, where you can stay in all day! The beach itself is nice, but there's no point even considering it. We only realized later that you can't swim at the palm tree beach because the water is always stagnant, hot, and full of seaweed. Dinner was constantly an issue because the menu was never as advertised, and they always seemed to be out of everything.

Convenient location and a delicious breakfast. We opted for dinner included, but the dinner menu was the same every night with only two dishes to choose from. The hotel is clean and has a nice pool. The rooftop pool is great for relaxing, but you need to buy something there to use it. Cocktails are 80 dirhams, and shisha is 250. The view is amazing.

Great location and good room cleaning. The breakfast was mediocre, the same every day, but you won't go hungry. We arrived at the hotel at 10 AM, check-in was at 3 PM. When we asked the receptionist if we could pay extra to check in earlier, she said we could take a sea-view room, which was already ready, but it would cost 800 dirhams. She didn't offer a simple early check-in option. We asked to see two rooms to understand the difference; they showed us the sea-view room but refused to show us a standard room. Since we were very tired from the journey, we paid the 800 dirhams to check in early. Also, on Trip.com, it stated that the deposit was around 500 dirhams, but the receptionist requested 1500, saying they had their own conditions and were not associated with aggregators. In the end, we agreed on 700 dirhams. Otherwise, everything else was great!
