Hotel Camino Real

Stayed there many times. Drove 7 hours and looking forward to a glass wine a relax and a meal. Checked in ..had to pay in advance…never before. Notice on desk said dinner from 8pm. However although on line when booking it says hotel has a restaurant..it does NOT. Too late to go elsewhere as already paid. Fortunately ít was not raining as forecast so we had to walk down the dusty road in cold wind for an indifferent meal in a truckers cafeteria. Looked in at trucker restaurant but waiter was off hand and disinterested so we decided to just order in cafeteria. My food came cold só sent it back to be heated. My husband ate half his cold meal as he could not be bothered to send it back Complained to receptionist at hotel who just said sorry. Filled in complaints form as we paid for something we did not receive Not a nice experience and will not go back

Repeat stay at this great little hotel. Conveniently located close to the autoroute it is an ideal transit stop. Easy to find, and with large dedicated parking area. Quick and friendly reception. Rooms are large for this level of hotel; well fitted out and clean. Ours was very quiet even though we faced the road. For the price point this hotel is excellent value. Minor quirk is that there is no dining on site (except breakfast), and so a short walk is required to a nearby road stop restaurant. This is typical Spanish "road stop"with a simple but more than adeqate menu, but expect it to be a bit noisy (with the inevitable TV), with somewhat prefunctory service. In summary we will certainly stay here again, and it has become one of my standard stop off points when transiting through Spain.

Stayed at this hotel in transit through Spain. BLUF: Superb value for the standard of accommodation (paid only a little over €50). Hotel is easy to find, just off autoroute. Parking is off road, in front of building (but not secured). Reception was multi lingual and efficient. The hotel is relatively new, and the room is spacious, neat and clean. Bathroom excellent. Zircon and wifi both worked well. The area is quiet and we did not hear any noise. The only downside is that the restaurant for lunch/dinner is off site and requires a 400 walk to an adjacent associated road stop restaurant. The meal here was good, but expect a typical Spanish roadster experience - good solid menu, but a little noisy with the inevitable TV on. Do not expect fine romantic dining! Breakfast however is on site, and whilst not extensive, at only €4.50 is is good value and more than adequate.
