The best nights sleep I have had in ages, the beds and rooms are fabulous. Angela who served us food at dumfries premier inn was unbelieable helpful and left nothing to chance, very impressive. Intestered to see what the new restuarent will look like. Would stay again

Came here with my family for one night. Overall, nice experience, decent breakfast, etc. Only strange thing was a noise complaint before we'd checked in but somehow we got blamed for.... We arrived quite late, but checked in fine and quite quickly. There was someone in front of us complaining about noise in the room above theirs but I didn't think anything of it. I've stayed here before and there was the usual noises (not loud but it's not a soundproof hotel or anything). Our room was upstairs. My kids and I were on the bed, they were colouring, my husband was in the shower (no noise from our room) when we got a knock at the door. It was the receptionist saying there was a noise complaint from downstairs (found it strange since we hadn't even checked in when I saw the man complaining about noise). I opened the door so she could see the children SITTING on the bed. She looked confused and said she'll tell them there's two kids just on the bed and it's not a soundproof hotel. Apparently they said it sounded like chairs being dragged around.... Perhaps the staff should listen to the noise first before going to the room with a complaint? We found that quite stressful and the kids were upset thinking they'd done something wrong - they hadn't.

Dirty hotel. Needs a refurb! Broken curtain rail. Rusty soap dispenser. No toilet roll. Stain on baby cot sheet. Helpful staff! Breakfast was poor. Bacon was tasteless, crispy frisbee pancakes, concrete hash browns. We won’t be back. Slept well and location was good.

The beds were so comfortable and there wasn’t a sound from any where.. There was a member of staff called Angela and she was very nice to us and helped us at breakfast. We had a great stay but the pub wasn’t open because they had to do some maintenance. Apart from this was a good half way house.

First if we were given a disabled room which was fine at first but when we entered the room the standard was shocking bathroom was so outdated with such a loud fan anytime you turned the bathroom light on if you wanted to have a bath in the ridiculously small bath there's no way you could relax with that noise. The bed was not the same standard that as the other room do disabled people not deserve the same standard I'm not disabled but I was shocked at just the general difference in room quality. Also constant noise from the room above who we complained about as we couldn't get to sleep till about 1 am. Also could hear everything out in the hall walls must be very thin in this Premier Inn. Absolutely would not stay here again.

Very efficient and friendly receptionist. Our room was clean and tidy, including the bathroom which had a good sized bath and shower. All the basics were provided - clean towels, extra bedding if required, tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryer, TV, heater and fan. The beds were extremely comfortable and we slept well. We chose not to eat at the hotel so can't comment on the food, but this made an excellent place to stay during our visit to Dumfries.

Stayed at the hotel for one night so we could attend a family birthday party. Arrived to be greeted by a poster telling us the evening meal and breakfasts would be cancelled as the restaurant was closed. We had planned on eating here and was one of the reasons we booked this hotel being so close to a restaurant, we were told the restaurant would hopefully be open in the morning. We also booked this hotel as it states they have electric car charging facilities which they do have but not connected. In that part of the country it's not ideal not being able to charge the car after driving 2.5 to get there and having a 40 minute round trip to get to the party. When we got back at 11pm we had asked about breakfast and had just been told we had been refunded for it.. not ideal and would of appreciated an email before we even headed off telling us this but wasn't the case. We now have to wait 14 days to get this refund even though it took them seconds to take the payment when we booked. Asked about the car charging and was told that they have never actually worked.. how about adjust that on the website then? Would of given a second chance and stayed again but with two of the main reasons we chose this hotel we can't get by without charging the car.
