Although an older building, it was in large part well maintained. We were upgraded to a suite which made our stay very enjoyable, but I’m sure from what we saw a studio would still have been nice. Stayed 3 nights.
The manager was really helpful.

While the motel is relatively clean, it is VERY old & VERY tired, with no money spent on it for upkeep since 1970.
Really need a compete revamp, or demolish it & build a new one.
Would NOT recommend staying here !!!

The hotel is located in the city center, only 5 minutes walk to the First Church and about 10 minutes to the train station. Parking is convenient and there are many places to eat. When checking in, there is no front desk and you have to call. The hotel is old but very clean. The elevator is too old and a bit scary. I bought bread for breakfast at the supermarket. There are bowls and basins.

The room facilities are rather simple, but the hotel is in a very good location, within walking distance to Dunedin Railway Station, churches and other attractions. The hygiene and service are average, but free parking is available.

The room is big and quiet. It is in the city center and is within walking distance to everything. It is cleaned every day and supplies are replenished in time. Parking is free, which is commendable. The King's gate next door costs 15 New Zealand dollars, and the room is small. The service staff are also friendly.

The hotel is in a good location, although it's a short uphill walk back to the hotel.
The facilities inside the room are simple and complete, including electric heaters, electric blankets, and simple kitchens.
