Great place, sure its a little dated but the staff were all great and very helpful. Its tucked away a bit and is very quiet. It is a large space with a lot of green areas and places to relax on the grounds. The front desk were always smiling and outgoing, breakfast was great and priced very reasonable. I recommend the hotel

Honest review: Bad points: My 11 month old was anxious to crawl after riding in the car, and the carpet looked clean enough. After 20 minutes of crawling, her legs, hands, etc were covered in dirt from the carpet (even though it was visibly vacuumed.) She had to stay in our arms or her pack-in-play for the rest of our stay. Also, the sink handles turned 45 degrees each time we used them, exposing the soap-scum beneath (just needed to be screwed down), thin walls allowing us to hear the couple in the next room and their guest discussing which sports channel to watch, a hole in the drapes, and scuffed furniture and picture frames. Good points: Absolutely beautiful lake and pool area! Delicious DoubleTree cookies, and very friendly staff. After staying at other DoubleTree hotels, I was surprised that the Doubletree group would allow this hotel to use the name in its current state of maintenance. Suggestion: Deep-clean the carpets and at least use a furniture marker to quickly hide a lot of the dinged places on the furniture and picture frames if new furniture is not in the near future.

I was stay 5night here on May29 to Jun3. 2023 My dauther said itch after atay here but we don't know reason why until we found bed bug at room(sofa bed mattress). I telling to front desk and the make change room for our left booked night. and I found cockroach at new room(differance floor) so.. when date of checkout Im going to front desk and ask for terminate to our goods. because we don't want bring our goods to our home. it will make more big problum. but they said I should bring all goods to my home now we can't left our goods at hotel after checkout. ??? also they said it is not bed bug. what?... I just ask termination from terminate company to our goods own from hotel for no more big problum. but they said it is not bed bug and they will throw away to our good if we left our goods at hotel. I has call to police for this situation and they provide storege for our goods, but still they said it is not bed bug and they will throw away to our all goods. please look my photo don't you think it is bed bug and cockroach? also I have movie bed bug and cockroach moving at hotel room. it is not possible uproad to here. I will make bill to hotel for replacement cost when hotel really throw away to our goods. I hope no one getting situation like us. remember first room coming bed bug and second room coming cockroach, is you trust to clean this hotel? even also hotel.manager said it is not bed bug, it is not cockroach, it is not our hotel's picture..????? It mean is they not gonna be hire termination company. they will provide same room to ohter guest on today without termination. They must be accept my claim and hire termination company for future. but they not.. they don't want spen time and money fir termination with specialized company. Im one of Gold member at hilton also have Globalist tier at Hyatt. I never has been experiance like this at Big brand Hotel.Im sure this hotel is most worth hilton in the world I will claim at website where I link to youguys. and hire lawer if I need. Very close to Duke University and Costco, the health is very good, the service staff is very warm. The deposit was refunded very quickly and was refunded at noon that day. I am really sorry that we forgot to tip when we left.

In order to catch the plane near the airport, the hotel was changed. The night before, I repeatedly confirmed that I needed to go to the airport at 5 am the next morning. The front desk said that it was definitely possible. It had been arranged, but I arrived at the front desk at 5 am the next morning. The driver was not there. The front desk said that she didn't know where the driver was, saying that she would contact the driver again. I didn't call the message, I waited for a long time and there was no news. I was speechless. I could make an appointment with an Uber car to the airport. I didn't apologize at all! There is nothing around the hotel ～

The room is relatively small

Staff were amazing! Jordan the night representative was amazing and very accommodating based on what he was able to provide. He was able to help with a room selection that was better accessible for my 88 year old grandfather. We did have a mishap with our room where the lightbulb in bathroom was out. Due to late hour (we arrived after 9pm) the tech was gone for the night, so Jordan updated our room, however and I did mention this to him, the new room smelled like mildew and the carpet looked like a crime scene. There was literally stains everywhere and hair on the bathroom floor. The sheets had weird brown stains on them and apparently my grandfather’s room sheets also had a huge yellow stain on them that had to be switched out. We were in town from New York for a funeral for a family member so we did not have the time to change the room again since we were leaving the following day, but staying in that room felt very disgusting and NOT what was expected based off of the previous reviews. Also the phones in all rooms did not work and our clock in our room did not work. I specified all of these details to the manager the next morning before we left for the funeral including asking to have the room cleaned, which she apologized for and stated they would take care of it. Came back and nothing was cleaned or replaced (no new toilet paper, garbage still full and no replacement towels. Had to go back downstairs that evening when we got back) We had other family members staying in the Sonesta Morrisville location that we had to visit and that location was a complete 180 versus this poorly updated location. Sonesta keep hiring similar professional front desk staff like Jordan, but your house keeping staff and the location’s rooms needs a complete overhaul redo ASAP! Truly feel nasty after having to stay in that room and do not ever plan on staying in this hotel again.

My wife and I stayed April 9th-12th. We have stayed at this property several times now. We arrived right around 3pm, checking in online. We were greeted right away and were in our room in no time at all. Usually we are in a 4th floor room, overlooking the front of the property. This time we were on the 1st floor, with more of a woodsy view. This visit, like the others, was wonderful. Our room looked great, smelled great, and once again the room had a very welcoming feel. Everything worked well. The bed was super comfortable. Our previous rooms were always very quiet. This was true once again. This room is now my favorite, and I hope to be able to stay in this room again. Breakfast was delicious, and very satisfying. My issue with our last visit was that there was no mixing it up with the breakfast offerings on that 3 day visit. Same mains each day. I will say that on this 3 day visit, they did indeed mix it up a bit, and it was very much appreciated. Once again ,everyone from the property that we made contact with, were super nice. Just a joy to interact with. The price was right for our stay. And more than likely we will seek out this property if we have the chance to come to the area again.

Upon arriving at the hotel, the exterior looked quite nice. The checkin with the Hilton app was easy. However, after exiting the elevator on the second floor, it was quite evident that the building was in need of improvements. Worn carpet, dimly lit halls and poorly painted room doors did not give a good impression. Our actual room was clean and the bed was comfortable, but the water in shower/tub was so hot it was unusable. Nothing worked when trying to adjust the temperature. The water would have scalded and badly injured a child. We reported this to the front desk and were told that maintenance would be notified. Upon returning to our room the second night, we discovered nothing had been done. We were not happy about paying a top price for a substandard experience. I did try to call Hilton’s customer service to make them aware of the situation, but the person on the phone was most unhelpful. She kept telling me the email address I was providing was not correct, but it is the email address on my Hilton app and the email address that received all correspondence. It seemed like a good excuse to refuse to assist me.
